Perhaps the hot water management would be easy for Scottish folks, but it took the entire stay to figure out how to turn on the hot water in the primary bathroom. Property management was very responsive. It would be lovely to have olive oil in the pantry. The drying rack is broken. There were pubs close by, and you need reservations to eat there. „If you are looking for something other than a hotel room for 1-2 people and you want to be as close as possible to the Old Course, this place is ideal. It is a guest house connected to the (very lovely) main house on a secluded street a few hundred yards from the 18th fairway. My son and I did nothing but play golf every day we were there, so it was perfect for us. Less than a 2 minute walk to the Swilcan Bridge, a 5 minute stroll to the beach or the 18th green of the Old Course, 5 minutes to the aquarium and about 10 minutes into the heart of town. 15 minute drive to the Castle Course, which was my absolute favorite round of golf in my entire life. Words can't describe it. Well appointed unit, the soaps, shampoo and conditioner smell heavenly and are local products. Lovely living room, gorgeous bathrooms, roomy kitchen. ...
