Unfortunately, this is probably my first negative review I’ve ever left on VRBO. We had several issues with the home once we arrived, including horrible mosquitoes, tons of wasp- hornet nests, and inconsistent airflow to make the top ones. My husband had to buy two things of mosquito spray to hook to a water hose because we couldn’t even set foot in the backyard without getting bitten. The water hose was not usable either so we had to purchase one of those as well. He also killed over eight wasp hornet nests on the outside porch area. After reaching out to the homeowners to seek reimbursement for these items we bought (just to deal with outside), they never responded. Also, we had to spend over 40 on pillows for our family (of 7) to use because the pillows provided were hard as a rock. The air never seemed to reach the back bedrooms, so it was extremely hot while we were there at the end of June, first of July. To be honest, besides the location working out well since we had our volleyball tournament at the convention center downtown, I would not recommend staying in this house.

Great Property

We had a great stay for SMU graduation ceremonies. The property was only 7-8 miles from campus (20 min drive). All of the amenities were as described. We loved the pool, the hot tub and the games inside. There were plenty of sleeping options with the 4 bedrooms. The host has a nice coffee bar set up with lots of Keurig choices. The kitchen is well stocked as well. The neighborhood is very quiet, hence the warnings about the quiet hours. It was not an issue for our group. We would definitely stay here again!

The house was all right overall, but there were some drawbacks. The inside was clean and was well-stocked. We enjoyed the gameroom and the hot tub. The owners had a bottle of wine and a couple of snacks, which was a nice treat. The exterior of the house could use some attention. The yard was overgrown and full of weeds, including in the rocks near the pool, which made it feel a bit unkept. In addition, the backyard gate remained unlocked for the duration of our stay despite asking the owners to lock it (they did not want us to do it ourselves).If you are looking for a functional place to stay, this will do. However, if you are looking for upscale, you may want to keep looking.

Fun Getaway and Stay

We had a group of 9 people with plenty of space and places to sleep. The amenities were more than enough to sit back and relax without even leaving the house! It is even in close proximity to go out without long travel times. The game room made great time and memories, along with the hot tub and outdoor fireplace. Highly recommend for those trying to stay in the Dallas area.

Perfect accommodations for a family or group of friends!

We loved the home. Mostly we just slept there since family in town was hosting our 2 day combined Christmas & Thanksgiving. But when we returned home in the evening we hung out in the arcade room for about an hour. Bedroom options were very accommodating, bathrooms had shampoo, conditioner & soap dispensers. The living room was great with a variety of comfy places to relax. Kitchen was great with all the necessities, Keirug machine and coffee, spice rack, cups, glasses, plates, etc. To welcome us there was a bottle of wine and snacks which was a very nice touch.

Perfect Space for Relaxation

Pulling up to the house the outside of the house was ok but around the house the landscaping was unkept and trashy. First walking in there was a strong smell of cigarette smoke and musty odor. We got fabreeze sprays, glade plug ins and candles to try to help but the upstairs smoke smell was so bad no one could sleep up there. The garbage disposal did not work so the drain smelled terrible. Alot of ants in the kitchen. I just want the next guests to have a real true picture to prepare themselves. We would not stay here again.

Scammers who keep your security deposit

The check-in process went smooth minus the fact that I received 4 texts/emails about not using Bluetooth speakers or the neighbors will call the police. I thought it was odd that the reminders kept coming and it was definitely annoying but whatever. I had to contact the hosts because we couldn’t find enough towels and then there was no dishwasher detergent. Responses were quick from them. I wouldn’t say the house was super clean but it was ok. The outdoor pool area and yard area were unkept with firewood in messy piles, lots of hornets, etc. The pool was clean and the water was nice. One of the tub/shower handles was loose (the set screw came out) so that didn’t work the last day. The AC worked well on the main level but it was super hot upstairs. We left the house in good condition, took out the trash, started a load of laundry before checking out. So here’s the scam part: it said I would get my security deposit back in two weeks. I thought that seemed odd to have to wait a whole two weeks. So two weeks came and went and no refund. I contacted the host who told me it would be posted in 2-3 days. When it posted, it was a partial refund with no explanation. I sent yet another message to the host who told me they withheld part of the deposit for damage. I asked what damage and was sent a photo of a pillow with a very old, yellowed water stain which was not anything we did or even saw while we were there. Clearly they are lying. Avoid this place.

Great Entertainment House

We had a wonderful stay! The living room was spacious with lots of seating. Our son enjoyed the swinging chairs the most! Having a Smart TV was wonderful to have for viewing options. Game room had tons of stuff to play with for all ages. Pool was always clean and we loved how it was shaded so well in the late afternoon. Pretty close to most large attractions which was convenient for us. Great property!

Enjoyed the stay

I booked this house for a bachelorette weekend. It was nice and about 20-30 minutes from the downtown area. The house was very clean and fit the 12 of us very comfortably! My only complaint is how hard they stress not being able to use a speaker inside or outside the house due to the neighbors complaining. We received multiple messages stressing this and felt as if we were a burden to the neighborhood. We were afraid to make any noise even though the neighbors across the street were blaring music. Other than that the house was well taken care and very nice! The decorated wall was perfect for our bachelorette weekend and made for a great photo backdrop!
