Hotel Daylesford and the Macedon Ranges

« No wifi available, which was very disappointing. The gas heater turned off regularly (every 15 mins or so) and had to turned on again so the room was not continually cosy and warm. There was a reverse cycle air conditioner but that was not sufficient to heat the room for Winter temperatures. There was very little reception for the TV so not all channels were available. The room itself was nice and big and set out well but definitely needed some maintenance, particularly to the front door and...

« It felt like staying at a friend’s house, but with enough space you could escape. We loved the extra touches such as the open fire pits to make s’mores and the pool room. »

« We liked the bar/common area with fireplaces and had a good dinner at the Virgin Kitchen restaurant. The sauna was not hot enough for me, but I am from Sweden. The place is a bit bigger than I expected, so less cosy than a boutique hotel. »

« Prompt response to any questions, very quick communication. Easy self check in. Nice little touches and attention to detail. Comfy Bed, Good heating. Parking a bit tight, but we parked ok. Great restaurant/pub across the road. Walkable to main street, but beware of distance if you want easy walkable access to everything. »

« Parking is hit and miss but enough for everyone. Excellent location and value for money. No staff contact. Check in was different, ai assistance over phone but incredibly easy. 2 story with every room having outside table and chairs. Perfect as we arrived early and enjoyed a drink in the afternoon sunshine in Winter. Microwave and toaster, very comfy beds. Spacious bathroom. »

« Great stay for a family of five in older style motel setting. Clean and comfortable and close to town. Heating worked a treat and we appreciated the electric blankets, spare blankets and pillows. For a budget family stay in Daylesford it does the job perfectly. »
