Here’s a balanced review that clearly explains the issues while remaining fair:The location is the biggest advantage of this property. It’s an easy walk to the beach, which made getting back and forth very convenient.Unfortunately, that’s where the positives ended for us. The cottage is extremely small and very outdated, which wouldn’t necessarily be a problem if it were priced accordingly. Instead, it’s being rented at a premium price, and it simply doesn’t deliver the value you’d expect.There were several maintenance issues that should have been addressed before guests arrived, including burned-out light bulbs, a dryer lint screen that was burned through, a bathroom sink that barely drained, and broken shower shelves that left nowhere to put toiletries. The bathroom also had a strong urine odor that reminded us of a portable restroom, which was unpleasant throughout our stay. Outside, the picnic table was so weathered and unstable that it wasn’t suitable to use.Check-in was also disappointing. Although check-in was listed as anytime after 3:00 p.m., we had to wait nearly an hour because the cleaning crew was still preparing the property.At checkout, there were no place provided to dispose of our trash, so we ended up taking it with us on our three-hour drive home.Overall, we left disappointed. I understand that booking last minute can limit options, and that’s partly on me, but for the price this property commands, I expected a much
