Cute and cozy

Loved the simplicity of Driftwood Chic. Cute and cozy and perfect for our small family. My girls were not crazy about the futon sleeper as they said it hurt their backs but they are young and resilient :) I did leave a note that many of the lamps and light fixtures were either missing lightbulbs or didn’t work at all. Also left a note that the washer was not working but that was not a terribly big deal for us. Overall a very nice stay :)

Last minute weekend getaway

We booked last minute as a weekend getaway and it was a cozy little house with a nice little outdoor area. We had some issues being able to lock the door from the inside at night on the first night We called the guest line and they did respond within 30 minutes to tell us that the screen door keeps it from locking (from the inside), so to leave the screen door propped open. We were going to use the kitchen one night to cook dinner, but decided against it because we saw a few roaches in that cabinet where the pots and pans were stored. Overall it was a nice little last minute stay. However, not sure it was worth the price with all of the local (city and state) hotel motel charges (for 2 nights it was $404). I have stated in port Aransas before, but It was my first time to stay in the sleepy little Rockport area. During peak months keep in mind that the port aransas ferry can be a long wait.
