This was a fantastic vacation home! All of the amenities in the house were very high quality, plenty of space for our whole crew of fifteen, and a beautiful view of the lake the minute you open the front door. We had plenty of activities to do. We swam in the lake, fished, kayaked, went tubing and jetskiing, discovered the large rock for jumping,and rope for swinging out over the water, and made somemores over the campfire. Back in the house after dark we enjoyed many games of pool in the game room and enjoyed watching movies on the large screen tvs. I think we all went home with many new memories and a wish that we could stay longer. What a great vacation place!!

Great property but disappointed in the upkeep outside
We chose this property because it was on the lake, had a dock, and onsite Kayaks for use in the advertised adminites. Upon arriving in the evening 2 of our guests were stung by the wasps that had set up home in the fake plants on both sides of the front door. For the duration of the trip we were on the watch for wasps. The kayaks, sand area and doc were full of spiders, cobwebs and broken furniture that had not been cleaned or maintained. The swimming pad was left in the water and was deteriorating, a paddle board was at the beach area by the sand pit that was water logged and blocking the shore. I understand some is nature but based on the reason someone would chose this house this should have been cleaned and ready for use. The inside of the house was nice, but the pots and pans were greasy and very lacking in quality, the toaster was broken. I understand things get damaged but for the cost of this rental i would suggest replacing every so often with an inexpensive pot set from Walmart. The gameroom was hot, as the electrical connection was unplugged and covered in gunk. The house was beautiful but alot of small things were bothersome after paying not only the cost of the house, the cleaning fee, the host fee. It was disappointing. Management should do a better job. When someone incurs costs of this magnitude there shouldnt be issues like this. The impression I got was lets charge as much as we can in fees, but do as little as possible to actually maintain the home

House - lots of space
Lots of bedrooms and bathrooms - beds were very comfortable. No complaints about soft or lumpy mattresses. Only suggestion - we probably had 5 or 6 showers going at the same time. Half of them teenage girls. We ran out of hot water. Might consider a second hot water heater. Only happened once in our 4-night stay. Really minor issue. Game room over the garage is a great idea. Kids had a great time without disturbing the adults. Nice having a garage that we could actually put vehicles. We didn't do any fishing but saw multiple bass boats come in and fish around the docks and they were catching nice bass. We hope to visit again.

Fantastic house
Overall, we loved our stay at this property. The views were incredible. The house was clean and comfortable. The high-tech system that controls the lights, doors, temp, and house music was easy and convenient. The only things I would re-look at was little things - no pot holders / oven mits, dish towels and a few small things. Overall, was delightful. Thank you!

Perfect Stay on Lake Oconee
Luxury Lake Escape is an understatement when it comes to this property. What a beautiful stay myself and my family had. From the gorgeous views to the comfort of feeling like we are in our own home we couldn’t have asked for a better stay. We spent the day on the lake and the night in the hot tub relaxing watching the kids run in the yard. We had the opportunity to grill out with beautiful views and socialize while making sides.The property was very well taken care of and the process of check in and check out made are trip run smooth. We loved the beautiful lawn for our kids to run and play and the game room above the garage was a great area to hang out in and have some fun! The new management company was super responsive, thank you Debbie for sharing your home with us. Can’t wait to stay again, everything was perfect!!

Incredible View!
Very nice house. Spacious and well-equipped. The view of the lake from the living areas up and downstairs is just incredible. It was unfortunately a bit too hot to enjoy the outdoor amenities, but the view was always there. The game room is fun as well. Would definitely stay there again.

What a Lovely Home!
This house is just an amazing space to gather with friends and family. Sure it looks great in the pictures but when you are there you realize just how wonderful it is. Waking up to the morning sunrise on the back upper deck with coffee is a real treat almost as nice as watching the stars from the dock at night. The porch swing that allows you to lie down and take a nap is something that shouldn't be missed. I'm not sure how every bed slept but mine personally was a dream. The best part of all is it's big enough to fit so many friends and family so you can be surrounded by those you love and make memories that last a lifetime! I sure was not happy about all the double fees between St. James and VRBO but I totally understand why anyone owning this house would want someone to manage the upkeep of it. It is kept immaculately clean and we felt so comfortable and at home there. It's a gem and we made some lifelong memories there. Don't hesitate. The only thing we regret is that we wish we could have stayed longer.
