Loved this hotel and the area it is located is perfect to explore Edinburgh. We did not try the food. The rooms were clean and had very modern technology. We loved how quiet it was so we could sleep.
Reception staff messed everything up.
I had booked 2 rooms and checked in early. I didn't expect it need the Rona to be ready but I did ask that the rooms be as close as possible. I was told they were adjacent - great. However where weeturned
Having stayed in many of the Bonvoy selection of hotels around the World we were looking forward to our stay at W Edinburgh.
Sadly the experience was terrible !!
The rooms were small ,dark and dingy with no views.
The bathroom was a joke !
The smallest bathroom we have ever had in a hotel. Tiny sink area very close to toilet with a basic walk in shower. No room for a bath !
Internet didnât work and even 4-5G reception was poor.
We decided to have pre-Dinner Cocktails in the bar on the 11th Floor and were refused entry as we didnât have a reservation. Crazy !!
The final issue was the noise from the elevators.
Which disturbed our sleep.
All in all for ÂŁ450 a night âŠTERRIBLE !
Very nice hotel. Fantastic location, nice rooms. We selected a room with two double beds, and for some reason or another there was an issue with the room. They upgraded us to a deluxe suite with one king bed, and offered a rollaway bed for the second. I was worried initially that my partner wouldnât find the rollaway suitable(I snore so he needs to be able to get away from me if itâs too bad) but it ended up being just fine. And the room itself was very nice and spacious with a fabulous balcony. We also received complimentary drinks at their rooftop lounge, which was very nice of them as well. Overall great experience.
A new hotel in Edinburgh with some amazing restaurant and bar options. Very central. Friendly staff and convenient parking underneath although not free for guests.
We arrived at the hotel past check-in time about 6pm. We were told our 2 rooms are not ready and they are unable to advise the time when the room will be ready. This is not like we are there at 1 or 2 pm before check in time. We were there after check in time and we were still told the rooms are not ready.
The service staff were impatient and wasn't helpful as we were there with 3 kids; one of them is still a baby. The staffs could have been more empathetic and provided more a better solution. They offered us drinks were also limited.
Checked in and the rooms were dusty. My kids had a bad skin allergy reaction after sleeping there the first night. Staffs were not helpful to getting us to a nearest doctor.
Overall VERY VERY disappointed from a W hotel Chain. They can do a lot better for a 5 star hotel.
Front of house staff were always welcoming and friendly.
Room was well equipped and spacious.
Roof top bar had what must be the best views of Edinburgh. Fantastic design.
Sadly had an issue with housekeeping which I felt when raised was not adequately taken on board.
Let the experience of staying at the hotel down.
The Hotel has excellent accomodations and modern facilities. Our room was very clean and comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful. Perfect location. Will recommend to friends and families. Will defenitely consider staying again in this Hotel.
