There were no pillows on the couches, there were rips in the furniture, dirty dishes in the dishwasher, dirty cabinets and walls, sticky countertops, etc. There were not enough towels for our family to use, no hand towels at all, only one face cloth left in place of a hand towel, no dish cloths to wash the dirty dishes that were left. The issues continued to pile up including an empty oil container in the cabinet, a full pot of used oil in the oven, a broken stool at the countertop that was placed to appear not broken until my child sat on it an tipped out of the stool immediately, no remote for TV access although it was advertised as a "Family Friendly Netflix" suite, not fully cleaned dishes in the cupboard, and so on. Despite all of this, we were willing to overlook and continue our stay until we found marijuana on the floor in the room where my child was sleeping.I reached out the owner about the missing remote for the TV since they asked not to use the tv buttons. 12 hours later the owner stated it had been stolen and a new one would be delivered in a day or 2 (we were scheduled to check out by then).After finding marijuana where my autistic, orally-fixated child had been playing prior, I immediately went to VRBOCare as the safety of my family was now a concern. VRBOCare asked me to send pictures then told me to resolve the issue with the owner. The owner asked to come see the unit but did not come. VRBOCare has not yet provided a resolution.
