The walk to the lake is through a wooded path just two properties over. The lake is very high right now so dock access was challenging (host forewarned us!), but we were able to launch the kayaks (we brought) straight from the “beach”. „Our family enjoyed a wonderful time at the cabin. It was very clean and inviting with clear instructions/ labels throughout. There were so many things to enjoy from hot tub to kayaking on the lake to ping pong and air hockey. It was such a relaxing and enjoyable escape for the family and a close drive to Mammoth Cave which we had wanted to visit for the first time. Highly recommended!“

„Excellent location. Just minutes from Mammoth National Park. We were able to go back and forth to take breaks easily. Super clean and has everything you need to make meals. Laundry on site was very helpful to clean our clothes after hiking, cave tours and kayaking. You have privacy yet you are located close to everything (fast food/Walmart, etc. 15 minutes away). “

„My husband and I stayed a couple nights at this cozy rustic cottage. We enjoyed our stay very much. The air conditioning was superb. The cottage had a cabin feel outside and a home feel with all amenities inside. The ambiance and decorations were delightful. Full kitchen and able to cook meals for breakfast and dinner. Approximately 20 minute drive away from Mammoth Cave National Park. Host was available onsite but we had privacy. “

„Chris and Chuck were excellent hosts. The property was ready for us and they provided great communication about arrival as well as a bunch of recommendations for the area. The house had everything we needed for us and our kids! We would definitely return. We had easy access to Mammoth Cave National Park which was the purpose of our trip. Highly recommend this house! “

„House was great. All new -appliances, flooring, furniture etc. very nice kitchen. Three bedrooms upstairs. Only one with a Queen (as advertised). Two other rooms had doubles. Two parking spaces available. On a narrow road, I wouldn’t have parked on street. Host was excellent, very fast at returning my texts. Wifi worked great. Close to downtown. Try “Mary’s Place “ for breakfast. 3 min away. The house is in a bit of a run down area but didn’t feel unsafe at all. Nice neighbour ...

„The place was nice for what I needed. Overall a good place. Had the essentials and was clean.One thing I do want to note is it was quite stuffy. I tried to open the windows but there were no screens (and lots of bugs/spiderwebs on the windows). The filter on the AC unit needed to be changed, and it smelled a little moldy. The shower also leaked quite badly when I used it. Overall good, but maybe a couple small things to address. “
