Broken AC
My friends and I were super excited to be going on this trip as we have never been to the area before and have heard great things. We ended up getting to the house a few hours earlier than the check in. I did try contacting the host to make sure that it was okay if we were able to arrive earlier but had gotten no answer until our driver had already dropped us off and we had been greeted by the cleaning lady. I told her that we were totally fine with just leaving our stuff on the porch or under it until our check in time at 4. She insisted that we bring our stuff in and that it was okay. At this point in time I was sent a text by the host saying that she had just heard that we were inside of the home and that we were not aloud to be making it seem like we just went in without permission. While all of this was happening, the cleaning lady had told us that the AC is acting funny as it was already close to 90 degrees inside. Not thinking much of it, we ended up walking around and went to the store just to come back and find a note that the âAC is brokeâ. This cannot be happening! It was definitely very stressful not knowing what is happening and if we are going to be able to stay or have to find somewhere else. You would think that in Florida you would have an AC guy on speed dial lol. Since it was still only 3pm when we were finding out about this major issue, our host would not answer text or phone call until well after 4pm. We ended up staying at a hotel. Not a great first day
