Nasty, filthy, and disgusting. Brought my mom for a vacation since she is going through chemo. It stunk so bad and was sodirty that i did not feel comfortable having my mom stay. Gnats were so thick in one bathroom it looked like a cloud. The pool was covered in green algae. The oven was so dirty i wouldnot hav cooked anything in it. The refrigerator had spilled liquid. The tile floor was coming up. There were dead roaches throughout. The shower had mold. I texted the office and explained my moms health concern and asked for a refund or move to another even if i had to pay more. They refused to work with me except send pool guy to attempt to get the algae out. The office said it would take the filter a few days to clear the water. The condition of this house was totally unacceptable. If you value your health do not stay here.

Not a good experience

When we arrived there were several issues that were never addressed, even though we reported them. Trash cans on pool deck were overflowing with trash and full of ants and still were when we left. When you took a shower raw sewage ran up out of the ground on the left side of the pool. The back part of the house was very warm because 2 bedrooms have no ceiling fans. The lockbox with the door key in it was open when we arrived. And the pool pump was so loud that it sounded like there was a real problem. Will not stay there again.

This is by far the best place we have ever stayed at. The only issue was that 2 of the rooms were pretty hot maybe issue with the ventilation in there? Other than that the house was super clean and provided everything we needed for our stay.The pool was the best part!!!

We had a good time!

I didn't give a 5 only because I think it could have been slightly better, but my family and I did have a good time. The house didn't quite look like the pictures. Could use a little bit of maintenance. It's to be expected in Galveston. The house was a bit worn. Doors all squeaked (bring some WD40), cabinets didn't close well, flooring was worn, house was a little unlevel, handle in shower fell off, but it was fine. I am sure a few hurricanes will do that.It was clean and the beds were comfortable. Lots of big beds! Only TV is in the family room. The area under the house isn't terribly inviting so we never used it. Never used the firepit either but we spent so much time in the pool we were tired in the evenings.The yard is not fenced so i enjoyed walks with my two little dogs instead. Bring mosquito spray!The pool was pretty dirty when we got there (algae and sand), and the yard needed to be mowed but I messaged the property manager, and a pool guy arrived, and the yard was mowed.Internet worked well. Never found a desk but I brought my own table anyway.Plenty of Toilet paper and coffee. Lots of dishes, silverware, pots and pans, 2 microwaves, coffee pot. Lots of lighting outside.Lots of bath towels. No beach towels.No games or books were found other than a checkerboard with 3 checkers.There are grocery stores, restaurants, and liquor stores nearby. Could walk to the bay or the beach. Overall, I was very comfortable with the home, and we had a great time.

House was Great-Neighbors not so much

The house was great, exactly as pictured. The property manager was also great. The neighbors on the other hand....were rude and obnoxious very invasive and annoying. They came over multiple times uninvited, it was weird.

Nice little house. Pool is an awesome plus. I do wish it would have had a washer, dryer , and dishwasher. Watch your head when using the bottom lounge area sits really low.

Quiet days in Galveston

This property is pretty much exactly as described. Very quiet neighborhood, basic house setup, pool!, and not a long walk to the beach. We would stay again next time we come to Galveston.

Review

stay was fine except for the rain, most of the dishes were filthy. There were mouse droppings in the window seals where the children could reach. When reaching out to the management I was told someone would come to clean this up but no one showed up. Mouse droppings by the window seal next couch, there is no way the mice were not on the couch. Very disappointing.

The blinds were broken in the back left room. The property expects you to be okay w two towels per bed, which is fine if you don’t have too many people, but there aren’t any beach towels even though there’s a pool. When I asked if we could have more towels they seemed inconvenienced then asked how manyThe handle on the back shower is broken, and the shower is so little and water gets all over the floor and there’s no bath mat or anything on the floor so that takes from one of the towels provided on the bed. There’s no fence so if you have kids you have to make sure to show them where line is. We had the football go in a back yard of a neighbors yard and she came out yelling at the kids and laughed when her dog got a hold of it until my boyfriend went outside. Then another neighbor came over to ask if we could keep the kids out of their yard after the ball accidentally rolled into their yard. Oh and this was only the first night after 1.5 hours of them playing. When I asked if we could be switched to another listing because we didn’t feel comfortable being there, they said they’ve had many families stay there and that we were welcome there. We wanted to night swim before the quiet time started and there’s no deck lights. There’s no way to dry towels, we had to hang them on the little dressers. The drying rack for the dishes was in the bathroom, which is gross. And there were pans that were used and just put in the cabinets. The food outlines were still on the pan.

Good location but not clean

Septic smell on the property physically see sewage/grey water bubbling on the ground.Shower handle is not attached.Top step on the pool ladder is broken.Coffee pot looks as though it’s never been cleaned. Moldy and could not use. Floors dirty left feet and socks dirty. Vacuum was full not cleaned out.Half a bag of fruity cereal in a kitchen drawer. Decorative wall clocks don’t work, one with no hands. No pantry space - only shelving area adjacent to kitchen is inside a bathroom. No bathtub only stand up showers. No dishwasher.No space to hang clothes. I informed the property manager of all issues. Good location close to the beach. Pool was clean. Plenty of dishes and silverware for a large family. Loved the porch swings. Wheelchair accessible. Didn’t use the fire pit.

14 in on house...Crazy

We like to have our semi-annual Thanksgiving trips and it is often difficult to find a place that will accommodate 6 adults and 8 children plus 2 pets. This house didn't just a accommodate us but we had a great time. We hit a snafu on the first day with the refigerator/freezer that quit working but the maintenance people were out of sight and installed a new one that very day in a short amount of time. We could have lost all our food but we didn't lose any of it. From the management to the staff, these people are great.

Lonestar Rally Stay
