« Room was kinda cool, and it was clean. Felt like a house flipper recently touched it. But there was no desk, table to eat at, or a dresser. The heavy curtains were installed on an extendable rod with curtain clips that came undone when I tried to open them (and I was careful). The view was roof level anyway. All this along with shared kureg with no tea pods, shared brita ina shared fridge, with no reverse osmosis filter installation in the shared sink (on my floor at least) made it feel like...

« We stayed for the weekend and mostly had a great experience. We took the Don not disturb sign down when we left in the morning, and our room was not cleaned and we had to get fresh towels ourselves in the evening. The front desk staff on the weekend seemed stressed. Everyone was very nice though. »

« This is the perfect place to stay if you or anyone in your family is having surgery or any kind of stay in the UAB Hospital. It’s joined to the hospital and uses the hospital parking deck for your overnight stay. We didn’t eat at the Bistro located inside the hotel but is a convenient place for a quick bite. There’s plenty of places to eat after you go up to the 2nd flour and walk over the skywalk to the inside of the hospital . Beds were good and it’s a very clean hotel. Enjoyed our stay. »

« Disheartening experience. I rarely leave reviews, good or bad. If I take the time to write one, it means the experience was either exceptional or extremely disappointing. Unfortunately, this stay fell into the latter category. Upon arrival at SpringHill Suites in Birmingham, Alabama, we immediately noticed cleanliness issues. « This hotel earns 2 stars solely because the bed was comfortable and the front desk staff was courteous. Everything else about this stay was unacceptable. Both house phones in the room were broken. Two “clean” towels had visible hair on them. The property is outdated and poorly maintained. What truly pushed this stay into unacceptable territory was housekeeping’s handling of a basic request. « I stay at the Hotel Indigo in Five Points often and it's always a pleasant experience. The staff is helpful, the rooms are clean and cozy, and the area has a lot to offer. The only negative from this trip was that none of the ice makers on any of the floors were working, so I had to get ice from the bar. After jumping multiple floors (the elevator automatically returns to the lobby once you exit), what should've been a quick errand turned into 15 minutes just to get ice. It didn't deter my trip...
