„Awesome cabin and well appointed. With rentals these days many have cheap sheets, little to no kitchen items and zero amenities. This cabin has everything you need including a coffee grinder. The screened porch makes all the difference with bug season and there's plenty of space to hang out.“

Wife and I had a blast for a last minute quick getaway after some other plans fell through. Took a day trip to decorah and explored and gambled a bit at the casino near by. They have a website with other cabins might look to return again over the summer with my older college and high school kids as the cabin was huge for the two of us. Thanks for everything would recommend!“

„Spring at this cozy cabin was wonderful as wildflowers emerged and migrating and local birds filled the forest with their beautiful song and nesting activities. After a day of hiking, we relaxed with a campfire under the brilliant star filled sky as the barred owl hooted with its new fledging nearby. Heidi is so easy to communicate with, but just like our first two stays at this cabin, we had no issues. The owners make it easy to have a very enjoyable, peaceful stay!“

„Stayed here for my husband's birthday! The cabin is in the woods. Was fun to watch the deer and turkey every morning on the screened in deck! The cabin is beautifully decorated and very clean! Only one thing was if you are big coffee drinkers the coffee pot only makes 2 cups at a time. I would suggest a regular size coffee pot. There was only 2 of us so was no big deal. „The cabin itself is super cute and had everything we could need. But "near the Mississippi River" is a very relative term and definitely does not mean "right next to/on." Not a huge deal for us...just a little disappointed no water view. If you love trains, this is a great spot!! Recommend doing the nearby Spook Cave boat tour...very unique experience unlike any typical boat tour we've ever done. Overall very relaxing stay. „Cabin easy to find and looked just like the photos. Loved the property and how it was surrounded by trees. I thought my husband was going to have a fit when he saw the stairs leading up to the loft, and the short trek outside to the loo. But, he succumbed to the magic of the cabin and had a great time. We are seniors so had tho be careful on the stairs up the loft and the path to the loo and showers. Everything very clean and comfortable. „This property is one of a kind! The pond is perfect for kids to play and fish. Wonderful view while drinking coffee on the porch in the mornings was a great way to start the day. A lot of wildlife to see and trout fishing close by kept everyone busy! The house is stocked with anything you might need for cooking. The owners were very easy to communicate with. If you’re looking for a very quiet, secluded vacation this is the place!“
