Property Closed

This property had a fire on October 2nd but was still available to book through Hotels.com on November 3rd; when we arrived to check in on November 23rd, we discovered that this property was closed due to fire damage. This left us in the lurch and scrambling to find another place to stay that night.

The property closed due to a fire and no one contacted those with a reservation to let them know. I was forced to find a new hotel at the last minute. Thankfully the Super 8 was able to accommodate me and gave me the price that I reserved my room for at Days Inn. Very disappointed in Days Inn for their lack of consideration for their customers.

When I pulled into the parking lot of the hotel that I made a reservation at through Expedia, the hotel had been shut down, complete with boards on the windows and caution tape. Thank goodness I was able to find a last min. room, even thought it was double what I would have originally paid. My question to Expedia is, why if the hotel was obviously shut down was I able to make a reservation? I was not happy with this experience and will probably not book a reservation through a secondary company again!

Les points forts : Personnel et service
The property is old. There was a big hole in our bathroom door. The carpet looked dirty and stained. The air conditioning shut off automatically even with the fan on. There was no way to determine the temperature or make it turn back on until morning when it was hot in the room. Breakfast was OK. I would not stay there again.

Pool Disappointment otherwise OK

On arrival at the Hotel it was a little late around 9pm, we noticed that the pool was being used, on check in we asked the opening hours & was told it was open 10AM to 10PM so decided to wait until the next day after our long flights & drive to get there. Next day we went to reception to ask for pool towels, to be told the pool was now closed for the season, we looked at the pool it now had a cover anchored down over it, it was 92 degrees C outside, barmy or what & not what we were informed the night before, we had specifically booked a hotel with a pool as well!! a great pity as otherwise the hotel was fine, just very disappointed & let down by this farce, Bonkers!

Beds are dipped in center from being so old, pillows are old and lumpy, rooms smell like feet and sewer, cockroach in bathtub, told told employee and acted like it was no big deal. Could hear EVERYTHING through the thin walls, even people who weren't being loud. Floors were greasy, wore shoes the whole time. You could tell there was mold too. Pool looked gross too. Disgusting, waste of money, will never stay there again!

Worst place i have been to all my life

Hello, So i recently booked a room at your hotel(please see below) and i came there on Saturday to check in but unfortunately the environment was scarily uncomfortable for me and i had to tell the receptionist/manager that i couldn't stay there so i wanted to cancel my reservation and not get charged because i did come to check in but couldn't because the pictures on the internet were deceitful and really misled me. The receptionist/manager was so unfriendly, not in anyway customer centric , picked several calls while i was talking to her without excusing herself and repeatedly told me she cannot do anything for me and i asked for a contact of a higher person to talk to and to my greatest surprise she gave me her own number , this was discovered because i called right on the spot and she picked it and talked to me rudely. My request Please refund me because i had to go through the stress of paying so much just to get a room in a another hotel that night. Also your advert on the internet is really deceitful and misleading. In addition, i actually came to the hotel to check but felt unsafe and insecure at the hotel and so i could not check in. Lastly, debiting someone for a service that wasn't rendered inclusive of tax is fraudulent and wicked . Even if a percentage was taken, it would have been a better thing to do. I will be grateful if my request is granted. Thank you.

Not too much to express on. I would say they need to make some changes and add to the breakfast area. They really had no selection.
