Vorsicht bei Bezahlung mit Kreditkarte
Wir waren 2 Nächte hier. Das Hotel ansich ist in Ordnung die Zimmer im Haupthaus sehr klein die Zimmer weiter oben sind wesentlich schöner. Das Essen ist sehr gut aber auch nicht billig. Leider endete unser Aufenthalt in einem Desaster wir waren Essen und bezahlten mit Kreditkarte erst war die Rechnung falsch ein Essen wurde 2x gebucht ist uns aufgefallen wurde korrigiert danach gab die Dame leider eine Null zuviel ein was uns nicht aufgefallen ist (da Ruandan Franc) und unsere Essen kostete über 700 € statt 70. Der Dame ist es dann Aufgefallen wir klärten es im Büro das wir eine Rücküberweisung bekommen. Die bekamen wir aber mit dem Wechselkurs verloren wir über 60€. Das Hotel sagte natürlich das es nicht seine Schuld wäre sondern von der Bank. Das ist sehr ärgerlich das man fast doppelt soviel für ein Essen bezahlt und das Hotel einen Fehler macht und dann noch nicht mal richtig dafür gerade steht.

It was a fantastic surprise to be in this hotel. I cannot say enough of everyone that works here. Everyone is very kind and that made us feel very welcomed and special. The food is delicious as well and the breakfast has many options. I will definitely recommend this hotel and I wish to come back.

Den äldre delen av hotellet behöver repareras på utsidan. Trasig grind ingång etc kändes lite osäker jämfört m resten av hotellet . Rummet stördes också av trafiken. Resterande del på hotellet mycket bra och fantastisk service.

This is a lovely boutique hotel. We stayed in a budget king room which was just lovely. We loved coming home at the end of the day to a sparkling clean room with the bed crisply made and the mosquito netting tied up and draped like a queens bed in a fairytale. There are modern amenities that Americans often expect like a hairdryer, a nice TV that we never used, a fridge, a coffee and tea station and filtered water. The pool is solar heated and not too cold even in winter (December). The landscaping around the pool is gorgeous and well maintained. The rooms come with a copy of the owner's book telling the story of how they arrived in Rwanda 15 years ago. I have not finished it yet, but you will also get a history lesson when reading. As noted on the website it is a hospitality training center and the staff is so attentive! Two highly rated restaurants adjoin the hotel (actually on two properties up the road), one serving more traditional fare and one more high end international fare. I love how entrepreneurial the owners Josh and Alissa are and how they are helping to build Rwanda. They are part of the story of justice, forgiveness, and hope that is modern Rwanda. I hope more folks travel to this beautiful, safe, and welcoming country

Great but get the right room!
This is a very lovely hotel. I stayed there a couple of days, left for a couple of days and came back again. The room I had in the newer part of the hotel. The first time was absolutely lovely. The service is great and they have a nice pool and it’s a good location. It’s also a few steps away from a very very nice restaurant so that’s very convenient. But the room I had when I came back was an older part of the hotel, and it just wasn’t as nice. It wasn’t terrible, but it was much older and smaller and less light and airy.

The Heaven Hotel is an oasis of calm in Kigali. The staff are friendly and very helpful. Our room was nicely appointed and quiet which was great after flying for > 24 hours. Dinner at Fusion was outstanding and the included breakfast was great including an omelet bar. I highly recommend this hotel and plan to stay here our next time in Kigali. I also recommend reading Josh Ruxin's book A Thousand Hills to Heaven - a memoir about how the restaurant and hotel started.
