Great spot!
They so s a nice house with a smart layout. Very clean considering it is pet friendly. Sure some things could use a little updating but overall is in great shape and an awesome location just off the beach. Beach chairs and toys included made packing easier, the kitchen had tons of pots and dishes, way more than we have at home. Highly recommend if you're ok with a comfy home rather a modern brand new option.

Beach fun
We loved the proximity to the beautiful, private beach. The house had plenty of room for us and having two bathrooms made things easy. The town of Duck was convenient too. We enjoyed checking out the shops. Definitely get a boil dinner and cook yourself some redfish (also called drum). It’s easy and very tasty.

Just what we needed
This was a perfect little spot for our family of 7, plus furbaby. It's not huge or fancy but had the space we needed, was clean, the kitchen was well stocked, and the location was ideal. The host was A++ in every way!

Great beach house for our family!
We enjoyed our stay at this house and I loved being able to enjoy my morning coffee on the screen porch while listening to the waves crashing. It was like being in a tree house! That said, there are a lot of stairs. Ok for us but it could be a struggle for others. I liked the bedroom and bathroom split also - my husband and I slept on one side of house while my son and his family slept on the other.

Great place in Duck!
We had a great time at the cozy duck over Labor Day weekend! The check in/check out process was very easy. Thought it was the right amount of space for 4-6 adults to stay. Loved that we were a short walk from the beach! And if you enjoy walking a bit more, you can easily walk to shops and food in town. Overall great experience, would recommend!

What a week...start to finish
Family vacation... we needed to be together, but have our own space too as we all have our own lives. Cozy duck was as advertised with multiple decks, porches and rooms to make it comfortable for both. House was clean, modern, upkeep of property was obvious. Cute little plusses such as extra blankets, games and suggestion made it more comfortable. Owners absolutely amazing from start to finish. Organized, friendly and quick to answer any issues. At the end of our stay we were hit with tail end of hurricane. Susan checked in and kept us updated. Check in and out ckean and efficient. GREAT location to beach, which was clean and friendly. Town of Duck was close, amazing and low key. Had everything needed in a compact space. Highly recommend, just go !!!

Fantastic house and location
The Cozy Duck was absolutely perfect in size and location to the beach and shops. We loved that we could walk to the beach and walk or a quick car ride to the downtown shops and boardwalk. We loved Duck! The house was perfect. Often when a house indicates 2 bathrooms, one of those is for the master bedroom only. This is not the case for this house. There are 4 bedrooms and 1set of bathrooms per 2 bedrooms. I really liked how the rooms were split up on either side of the house. It created space for everyone. The house was cozy and has a great screened in porch where we enjoyed fresh steamed crab and shrimp. We would definitely stay here again!

Duck vacation rental
My family, my husband, my 3boys, and my grandkids went to Duck for vacation. The host was always ready to answer my question promptly. The house was nice with so many rooms for everyone to relax. We really liked the loft and the sunroom. The kitchen was very well stocked. They have chairs and toys to take to the beach. I know we bought stuff to play at the beach and we left them there. The house was only a few minutes from the beach in a very nice neighborhood. The Internet access was great. My only complaint is the cleanliness of the place, sheets, pillows, and towels. The wall around the sink should be a lot cleaner, the towels and sheets were very old, and the pillows were dirty and old. It was very hard to sleep on them. There were extra blankets, but they were covered with dog hair. The places could have been cleaner.

I sincerely apologize that the sheets and linens were not to your standards. We provide silvadur antimicrobial sheets on all the beds. Additional new pillows are located in the queen room closet. I apologize for the blankets since users are supposed to wash them before putting away if they had been used. Thank you for choosing to stay at the cottage.

Very nice week clean house short walk to beach . Little hard to get out on main road if you try at wrong times . Other than that great place to stay and quietly tucked in neighborhood. Also short walk to Duck and boardwalk.

Very easy getaway.
The cottage was exactly as it was described. Cozy and clean. Loved the location to the beach and to the town of Duck. Grandsons liked the basketball hoop…and grown ups liked walking into the town of Duck. Very easy check in and check out. Would definitely stay here again.

Great little beach house
The location couldnt have been better for us, quick walk to the beach. Although the weather didnt completely cooperate we can't wait to stay here again when the ocean is more comfortable. Exactly what we needed!
This property was an excellent find for those that are budget conscious. Everything was as described. While a little dated, it was clean and completely serviceable for our needs. Being only a few hundred yards walk to the beach and less than a mile to shops and restaurants was fantastic! Susan was an excellent host. Always very quick to answer any questions. Susan was very quick and courteous answering any questions.

We were there for a week with 6 adults total and a dog.it was a short walk to a private beach access. Loved the outdoor space- screened in porch and upper deck. Kitchen had lots of pots and pans. Although it can sleep 8-10, it would have been very crowded with more than 6. The kitchen did not have any empty cupboards for our food so it all stayed on the counter which made it very messy. I would have liked to have a mirror in each bedroom as there were only mirrors in the bathroom and it was hard for 2 people to be in each bathroom at the same time. We would stay there again but hoping for there to be some changes

5-stars All Around!
We had the absolute best time during our stay at the Cozy Duck! Check-in was a breeze and the home was very clean and situated on a quiet and private lot, yet still walking distance to town. The beach was just a short walk away, with a lifeguard stationed right as you walk out. We appreciated the beach supplies, chairs, boogie boards and cart provided at the home. The private shower stall with hot water under the house made it easy to get everyone cleaned up after the beach. The home was very accommodating, especially for those traveling with kids. Lots of games and puzzles provided, the kids especially loved hanging out in the loft space. We loved the open floor plan, and were able to cook lots of meals in the well stocked kitchen. All of the beds were super comfortable, as well. Too many positives to mention! The owner was very responsive and great with communicating from booking thru checkout. We loved our stay at the Cozy Duck and can’t wait to be back!

Perfect host, very accommodating. Cottage was exactly what you would expect by the beach. Layout of the home was perfect for two couples with their own bathrooms. Short walk to the beach. Nice but Needs some TLC
The location is great! The cottage is cozy but a little tired. We rented midseason, so it wasn’t as clean as I would like. The kitchen was very disorganized, I’m sure from previous renters just putting things wherever. Additionally, the house has an issue with ants...very tiny ants in bathroom and kitchen.

Great Vacation Spot in Duck
The house was nice & suited our needs perfectly (5 females & 2 dogs). The decks & screened-in porch were used a lot, kitchen well equipped (although we did not cook!). Location was the best - short walk to beach on a quiet street with little traffic - and the beach here was beautiful with a lifeguard on duty. Susan responded promptly to any questions or concerns. Highly recommend.

Great Beach Value
Great location; Easy walk to beach and town. Kitchen was better equipped than most rentals of this type: plenty of plates, silverware, utensils, pots & pans, toaster oven, blender, mixer, casserole dishes, etc. The mattress on the full size bed was a little old and not the most comfortable; queen mattress was very comfortable. This house was a very good deal for the price.

Wouldn't Change A Thing
The communication with the property manager was excellent and welcoming. The beach house was very open, inviting, and well stocked with dishes, chairs, cooking tools, board games, towels, etc. The property is within a short walk to the beach and off a quiet street. I would highly recommend this retreat to anyone! Looking forward to reserving a longer stay next year!

Amazing Spring Break at the Cozy Duck!!
This was our first time visiting Duck, NC and we loved every bit of our time here. The location is perfect. You can hear the waves from the beach it is so close. The street is quiet and the house is less than a one minute walk to the beach . Every morning we walked down to the beach with coffee and watched the sunrise up over the ocean. The house is so cozy and has everything you will need. A few nights were chilly and I was thankful to have found some extra blankets in the bedroom closets. The house is clean and organized. The kitchen is stocked with everything you would need to cook during your stay. The owners were so friendly and quick to respond to any questions we had. The town of Duck is cute and welcoming and an easy walk from the house. It’s a dog friendly town and beach which made our trip even better! We would love to come back to stay next year!

Great location and well equipped
First the location - just a few houses from the beach on a quiet street, and less than a mile to walk to Duck and the wonderful boardwalk. It’s the perfect spot. We loved early morning walks to the beach with our pup! The Cozy Duck has a lot of original features and charm but is clean and functional. The kitchen had everything we needed for preparing a lot of our meals, and we found every utensil and cooking tool we needed. It has four bedrooms including a nice kids room with bunks, and a couple of rooms with full size beds. If you’re looking for a queen bed to stretch out in you’ll need to enjoy a tighter fit! While we did not fill all the bedrooms, there is plenty of room in the living room, upstairs loft / TV room, and outside decks to spread out in. We also enjoyed the newer Roku TVs that were ready to go once you logged in to your streaming service. And not to forget the high speed WiFi that was accessible everywhere we tried in the house / deck, and met all our streaming needs. My phone clocked it at over 100 mb/s. Check in with the key pad was easy and Susan was super responsive during our stay.

Truly cozy and beach vibe!
A lovely beach home that has everything you would need to enjoy a stay! Decking decor with several levels and decks. No views. However feels very private. Not ideal for anyone who has difficulty with stairs. The home is beach basic and the wood panelling gives a warmth and natural home feeling. No fireplace but A/C and heating was excellent. We needed both in the same stay! Wifi is excellent. Kitchen is excellent. X2 Bathrooms are functional and practical. One stand up shower and one tub but no and held shower head. Beds aplenty but not the most comfortable mattresses. Snug doubles but fun bunk beds! Kids will love the layout and different decks. TVs and games available along with beach equipment and a basketball hoop! Laundry room was great and outdoor shower! 5 out of 5 stars. Owners were responsive and helpful through process. Close to Duck town and almost on the beach at the end of a private access point. A perfect way to stay on OBX in the best location.

Awesome Stay!!
Our experience at the Cozy Duck was nothing short of Awesome!! The beach was just a few feet away. Many of places to eat and several. Light houses to visit from 30 minutes away to one and half hour away. The Cozy Duck had all the amenities my family and I needed. My daughter loved her stay there and raved about the bunk beds she slept in. We would definitely stay there again and recommend to friends and family. Thank you!!
