First time staying at Kure Beach and we loved this condo and the location. Communication with the owner was great. I had a question about parking and they responded very quickly. All the check in, check out instructions, parking information, site info, etc was super clear and helpful. The condo was beautiful and well stocked with a super quick walk to the beach or pool. We will definitely be back next year!

This was the perfect beach stay for a weekend trip! The walk to the beach is short and easy, they provide 6 beach chairs, full kitchen, and sliding door to the porch just makes for good vibes all around. Definitely recommend

Great relaxed location

This is a great location, very easy walk to the beach! Being near the end of the island really cut down on the traffic too. Having the indoor pool was an amazing option when we didnt want to slather on the suncreen. We would stay here again!If your kids are into boogie boarding note the coquina rocks are here and can make that difficult depending on the tide. Bring a white noise/sound machine- the condos arent super sound proof. Nothing that the owner can do about that so definitely still 5 stars.They were very responsive with questions! And they had the kitchen well stocked with everything we needed.

I can’t put into words how phenomenal this place is! The location is absolutely IDEAL, especially for families with children. Short walk to the beach and pool! The condo itself had everything you could think you’d need! The beach cart was definitely a plus as well! We will definitely be coming back again!

Quiet Family Weekend Getaway

Pulling up to the condo, our first impression was that Ocean Dunes was an older established condo community tucked in across the street from the beach. It was quiet and at the end of Kure Beach with little traffic. The location is a couple miles from bars/restaurants and noisy new home construction. I was thankful not to hear hammering at 7am. The condo is nicely equipped with all supplies stated in the listing. We cooked many meals in the kitchen and Door Dash was also able to easily deliver food to us as well. Patty is extremely responsive to messages and provides a wonderful Welcome Packet full of useful information. We visited during early Fall and made use of the indoor pool and beach in the afternoon when it warmed up. My kids loved the shuffleboard and all of the board games in the condo. The hot tub and the elevator were both closed for repairs during our stay. But from signs posted, these were temporary closures. I have energetic kids, so climbing 4 flights of stairs was not an issue. I would definitely stay in this property again.

Close to the Aquarium and beach

We had a wonderful time and enjoyed the condo, the swimming pool and the closeness to the aquarium. The elevator was not working so it was a haul bringing all our stuff up four floors but we did it!

We didn't let tropical storm Be by stop us!!

We enjoyed our time at Ocean Dunes in spite of the weather! We were not sure if we were going to cancel and I am so glad we didn't. The condo was perfect and had everything we needed. We made use of the indoor pool and were thankfully able to enjoy the outdoor pool some too. It was nice to be so close to the beach access and we had a perfect beach day on our last day. We were able to find a lot of beach supplies in the units storage closet too which was awesome. Patty was fabulous and responded very quickly to anything we needed! Great place for a beach getaway and very family friendly. Thanks for the memories ❤️

Vacation getaway

My family and I stayed at the Ocean Dunes Resort for our vacation and really enjoyed it. Outdoor pool is right outside your room and they also have an indoor pool just a short walk away. The resort is located across the street which makes it all the better with taking little ones.

We really enjoyed staying here for all sorts of reasons. First off, the condo was very clean, furnished well, and had everything we could’ve possibly hoped for in making our stay comfortable. It was evident that the owners were very thoughtful in providing high quality accommodations for all sorts of guests/families. The condo was immaculately organized and all of the important information was readily available such as in the form of a lovely binder containing everything you could think of that a person would want to know about staying there. We especially loved how the owners offered an entire closet full of items that could be enjoyed at the beach without us having to worry about packing extra. The owners were quickly responsive, very kind, and courteous when I needed to contact them with any questions while making reservations and their warmth was so much appreciated. We also loved all of the amenities this condo complex had to offer. The indoor pool/hot tub was super clean and a hit for the whole family. It’s so nice to have that option to prevent overheating at the beach and all of the preparation and cleanup involved. My only complaint - not involving the owners or condo - was that the elevator was out of service while there and the outdoor pool could use a better cleaning. Otherwise, the place exceeded our expectations and we were so appreciative of everything it and the surrounding area had to offer! We enjoyed every minute and my kids have been begging to go back!

Nice family condo at the beach

Great location across from the beach and the indoor pool on the hot days is a godsend. We frequently visit Carolina and Kure Beach and this is our new favorite place to stay while in the area.

Kure Beach stay

Had a lovely stay. The place was clean and comfortable. Lots of choices in board games which we enjoyed. Having the pool option right next to the condo was perfect for some down time from the ocean. Overall, excellent stay!

Great location, good for kids

We really enjoyed our stay at Good Day Sunshine. The location was convenient enough for nearby attractions (just 1-2 miles from the aquarium, Fort Fisher, and the ferry terminal!), restaurants, groceries, etc., but removed enough that we were able to enjoy peace and quiet. We loved being able to walk right down to the pool, and it's just across the street from the beach access--you do have to cross the road, but on that end of Kure/Fort Fisher, there's not too much traffic, so it was not an issue. Check-in was very easy. The unit was very clean and had everything we needed for our stay, even down to thoughtful details like plenty of towel hooks. We appreciated having elevator access for those with mobility issues and for unloading/loading luggage! The weather was perfect, so we didn't need to use the indoor pool, but it's great having the option, and the recreation center is so close. The kids loved the bunk beds! During our stay, I sent a message to Patty letting her know of a loose board on the steps outside the unit, and within the day, a work order had been submitted and fulfilled to repair it. We were very happy with everything and would definitely book again for any future visits to Kure!

Good poperty overall

The place was good over all. Plenty of room and well stocked. The washer and dryer was nice. It was very nice to be able to use the beach chairs and wagon provided. Easy walk to beach but note there are stairs to get down to the beach. Easy walk to indoor pool as well. The dish washer is really loud which is no one's fault or a major issue just good to know if you have smaller kids and trying to time that with naps/bedtime. The door to the balcony wouldnt lock but since it is in the 3rd floor it wasn't too much of an issue.

This is an excellent choice for a family vacation- it’s super easy to walk to the pool or ocean and all amenities are included and accessible. The decor was surprisingly similar to my own home (great taste!) and beds and linens were super comfy. The ability to use digital door lock made the checkin and checkout processes fast and easy. Since the owners clearly demonstrate a dedication to offering a great vacation experience, my only suggestion would be to add a non - stick skillet to the kitchen cookware. Thanks for a great trip!

We really enjoyed our stay! The place was clean, inviting, and relaxing. It had everything we needed for our trip. There was plenty of space for 4 adults and 1 baby to run around. It was also safe for the baby to explore without needing to childproof the whole place. I also loved the proximity to the ocean and the large outdoor deck. It was a great weekend getaway!

Relaxing quiet condo!☀️

Layout is perfect for a family. We enjoyed having a workout area, indoor/outdoor pool. Back deck was private for enjoying. Condo was clean, beds comfortable and hosts were fabulous.
