„Hotel Sol is an excellent choice to stay when visiting the Panajachel area. Unlike many other places in the area, the building is secure, very clean, the rooms are big, the shower (hot and cold water) actually works, and the staff are attentive and helpful. Although the hotel is in the periphery of Panachel, for less than $1 (5 quetzales) you can hop into a tuck-tuck and go anywhere in Panajachel. „Property could use some upgrades but overall it is in good condition. They should upgrade all pool furniture & keep pool area cleaner, plus play better tunes. The staff is very friendly… they do play the same playlist over and over again by the pool and that’s quite annoying. Music is loud & on by 9am. „This property was amazing to stay at. The rooms are cute little cabins, with a very comfortable bed and two nightstands. Very minimalistic but it’s all you need and waking up to an unobstructed sunrise view of the volcano on Lake Atitlan. The club and lounge that is nearby the property has the best views as well and reasonable pricing.
