« The staff was friendly and quick to answer questions. It was in a safe area with quick access to Ames and Iowa State campus. The room and shared spaces were clean. « NOT A MARRIOTT EXPERIENCE!! The room unfortunately smelled like body odor, and the loveseat had stains on it and was gross. The pool and the hot tub were not available the entire four days that I was there. They also did not clean my room the day after I checked in. »

« I was locked out of my room for 12 hours because the lock wasn’t working. Tried 4 new keys and no one knew how to change the battery on the lock until the next shift came in. Every time I needed back in my room I had to go find the front desk person and have them unlock my door with the master key. Do you know how hard it is to always find a person at the front desk on a weekday??? They would put a sign out on the counter when no one was there and it said to ring the bell or call a certain phone...

« Our stay for one night was fine, but it's a rather tired hotel. You can just tell by little things like dirty hallways with old carpet, a wobbly toilet, and old furniture,that it's been around awhile. »
