A very beautiful hotel overall, with a stunning and breathtaking view of the Strip and the Bellagio Fountains. The rooms are great.
However, quite a few things here are seriously wrong. The service is consistently a disaster.
It started at check-in, where an Asian woman was extremely unfriendly and annoyed, trying to pressure us into giving her a tip with little magician’s tricks. She placed previously received tips in clear view so that everyone could see them. She claimed that only the 19th floor was available, where you basically see nothing but the Bellagio sign (even though we had booked Fountain View). She then pretended to type for 2–3 minutes, clearly hoping we would open our wallets. When we didn’t, she acted extremely annoyed and then pretended to “generously upgrade” us to the 22nd floor, which is absolutely not an upgrade at all. Not a single friendly word, not even when we mentioned that we had just gotten married. I have rarely encountered someone so unsympathetic.
Housekeeping was also hit or miss. After the first night, they simply didn’t come at all. Even after calling, it took hours (until the evening). The body wash was never refilled during our entire stay, and in general, the cleaning was done only very superficially.
For these reasons, we will definitely not be staying here again. It all feels more like absolute budget mass tourism (with a view) rather than a “luxury hotel.”
