4/10 Médiocre

I stayed here for one night as a solo traveller. On arrival they asked for ID, which I found a bit unusual, and then sent a link asking for credit card details to cover any potential damages. I understand why hotels do this, but it did feel a bit impersonal.
The location is good and there’s plenty of parking, which is a big plus. The reception area looks nice and the room had a fridge, which was useful. The air conditioning worked fine.
The room itself was a bit of a disappointment compared with the photos online. The bed was quite hard and not very comfortable, and the Wi-Fi kept dropping in and out. There were spiders and flies in the room, which wasn’t great.
One slightly odd thing was the attitude around takeaway food. Another guest mentioned the hotel doesn’t really like people bringing takeaway in, and that they weren’t keen to provide plates. As I was travelling alone and ordered food to the room, that felt a bit awkward.
The staff weren’t rude, but they came across quite robotic and not particularly welcoming. I accidentally left my room key in the room and had to go to reception to get a new one, and the interaction just felt uncomfortable rather than helpful.
Overall it’s in a convenient area and the reception area looks nice, but the rooms don’t quite match the impression given by the photos. I’ve stayed in many hotels and for some reason this one just didn’t feel very comfortable.
