The area is on top of natural hot thermal springs and some spots along the waters edge are actually to hot to stand on because of the thermals. We also saw three different sea turtle nest marked for their safety and had the date the eggs were laid. #BeachTips

Wonderful condo. We originally booked another place and showed up and it was an huge bummer. We ended up with some friends upstairs for a few nights, then at Kelly’s. So when we arrived at Kelly’s and it Extremely clean and immaculate, Very well organized with everything you can think of, it was such a relief and we really appreciated that. Great shower. Great view. I was very happy with Kelly’s place. Would return and recommend to others. 5 stars!!! (Also- the location in the building was great! Away from bar/restaurant with noting impeding the view)

Excellent location, right on beach, steps from the pools and sea. Room was perfect for two people, well stocked with amenities. Pedro the maintenance man was around and very friendly. Contactless check-in/out simple.Minor issues during our stay was no fault of owners: WiFi didn’t work but Pedro was on it quickly. Pools had some algae that stained suits and skin.

Lovely Villa

This is the nicest condo we have stayed in at the Villas de Cortez! Everything you need for an enjoyable stay and more. Kitchen is very well equipped. We enjoyed time on the balcony watching the fishing boats and used the recommendations for restaurants around Las Barriles. It truly was a perfect week.

Los Barriles

Great vibe in LB. We met our friends there who were staying in the same building but on the ground floor and who have stayed numerous times. They knew their way around LB - restaurants, bars, road trips, sport fishing etc. So it made it really easy. LB is a very chill place compared to many of the more well known tourist destinations in Mexico. Great beach, snorkelling in the morning was outstanding (wind/wave or higher tide build up can obscure the visibility in the afternoon) 1200 meters walk south on the beach. All kinds of kite/wind/sail sports available there and I wish we had tried some but not enough time on this trip. Kelli is an outstanding host. Villa was great, very well equipped. Can’t really think of anything apart from perhaps a bit more vertical hanging space for clothes. But arguably, we brought too much luggage - big surprise for us…not. Really nice to have the reverse osmosis fresh water system. Once we got in the rhythm of filling a jug(s) and refrigerating it we were golden. Kelli was very responsive to all questions and got back to us in minutes for any questions. We are definitely interested in returning. We HIGHLY recommend Kelli, their villa and LB in general.

A Gem

This was such a great place to stay. It was our first stay in this area of the baja and end up being the perfect location to everything. I loved that the villa pools were private to the villas. It never felt crowded. Kelli gave us great info before coming which made out stay better. She was also awesome with communication as was the grounds keeper. We would stay here again.

Wonderful condo!

This condo is beautiful, well appointed, comfortable and has an amazing view. It also is in a great location, within walking distance of restaurants and activities. Pedro, the property manager, is on site almost daily and is super attentive to virtually any needs. Kelli, the owner, was also very responsive to a small glitch with the safe. We highly recommend this property.

Beautiful Unobstructed Ocean Front Condo

It was love at first sight! Everything was above and beyond our expectations upon arrival. Our flights were delayed in the states. As a result, we arrived in the evening. We contacted our host, Kelli and she immediately helped us to rearrange our transportation for the next day. Our driver was there waiting. He provided a cooler with ice and took us to gather a few staples at the nearest grocery store before our drive to Los Barriles. The van was comfortable and air coniditioned. Exhausted, we walked into our sparkling clean unit so perfectly arranged, took a look at the unobstructed view of the sea from our varanda and fell in love! Everything was as described and whatever we needed was at our fingertips, even Kelli, with her quick response to our text messages. She answered all our questions including providing additional tourist information on nearby attractions. The kitchen was fully equipped with everything we needed, including spices. It has a full sized refrigerator, and best of all, a brand new reverse osmosis water system!! This was very important to us as it decreases the need to buy plastic water bottles and we drink a lot of water! The dishwasher wasn't working during our visit and we couldn't care less. Everything else was so fabulous! The unit was accurately described! We especially loved our daily dose of the sunrise! We read about the sunrise in other reviews, bottom line, it's breathtaking! I even brought eye mask, thinking I would sleep in. However, I became addicted! Because, each morning, the sun uniquely rises for your eyes to behold. That is beyond words! We couldn't miss a day. We drank our coffee and did our morning meditations and journaling every day of our visit!! Since we were there for a month, it was fun to meet others. Every single person we encountered on the property and in the local stores and restaurants were happy and friendly! The front desk at the hotel was also helpful in answering any of our questions, gave us directions and helped us to rent a car. We tried all the places suggested by Kelli and loved. This was our first time out of our country for a month and we absolutely LOVED our home away from home. We could not find one negative thing to say about our stay and experience. We can't wait to come back! One last thing, the laundry service!! Five US dollars per load! We sent your clothes out and they came back warm and folded with a sweet fresh smell. Just, Wow! We loved every little thing!
