Really enjoyed this property. The views were stunning, the house was very cozy and comfortable. Great hot tub for star gazing at night. Highly recommend!
My wife and I had a wonderful time, the location on the ocean is awesome, views are great from everywhere, enjoying the spa with the with the ocean mist unparalleled experience.
Staying in this home will give you a relaxing, peaceful and unbelievable trip to get away from everyday life stresses. You canât go wrong in choosing this property. The view and close proximity to the surf sounds are the best. If you have never been to this area i highly recommend it. There is so much to see and do if you want to. I personally like to stay put and enjoy every minute right there on the premises soaking up the solitude and going down to the private beach where you will practically have all to yourself. The home is nicely decorated with a beachy vibe. The beds are very comfortable. There is plenty of comfortable seating which I find important since as I said, I enjoy staying put. Cooking meals there is a plus although there are lots of dining out options. The kitchen is pretty well stocked with all the essentials but if you need something the store close by in Manchester has everything you need. If tv is important to you the only option at this property is Netflix streaming. No regular tv channels are available. There is a dvd player. It is fun to keep and eye out for whale sightings (bring binoculars) along with deer, quail, bunnies, fox in the yard.! You really canât go wrong with this rental. It truly is heavenly.
Difficult to get answers from Evolve. My questions went unanswered for days. It took awhile to go from VRBO to Evolve then a local contact.
Lockbox needs to be easier to use.
The place needs a deep cleaning, Even the table was sticky as was areas along sides if dishwasher and baseboards.
Screening the hot tub is a must. It is viewed by the neighborhood.
This place is a good escape. I would recommend they have more TP and paper towels as we had to procure additional. I also recommend better window covering for ocean side bedrooms. View in living room was fabulous
After reading some of the reviews for this property I was concerned that there would be issues with the cleanliness and condition of the property. I'm happy to say there were no issues with it's cleanliness or condition and I was very satisfied.
The house needed some TLC. The dining room chairs were stained and torn. The cabinets were dirty and greasy. The sink backed up during our stay. The heater in the master bedroom was a bit sketchy. Lots a little touches that would make the stay much more enjoyable.
So much potential but falls short. This place was so underwhelming inside-I felt I was at a motel. There are no real loving touches to the home. The view canât be beat, yes. It was insane. And the access to the beach is awesome. But Iâm shocked that other reviews didnât warn anyone about the fact that this place is like a 2 1/2 star motel. FYI -the couches are different from the photos, but comfortable. Theyâre the only piece of newer furniture in the entire home. Cons: The master bedroom is small, and the furniture looks like it came directly from a garage sale. Uncomfortable mattress and the master bedroom heater didnât work and the icy ocean breeze was seeping through cracks in there. The master bathroom is just as cold, has a strange plastic covering the window that looks a bit tacky, and there is some mold growing in the shower, the toilet seat is peeling â seemed unsanitary to me, the bathtub had some weird wood on it and is missing some tiles. The extra bedroom with a twin bed is small and a bit lame/depressing. My teen son was so upset he had to sleep in there. Not to mention the WiFi was awful and it was hard to stream anything. The kitchen is dingy too, subpar and isnât something appealing to want to cook in, dated. Cheap fridge. There was no dishwashing liquid. There is a plastic restaurant type bench on the patio to eat at. So again, the only solid pro to this place is that itâs got an incredible view and the neighborhood is nice and quiet. If you are someone who expects a nicer home with decor/ambiance, newer and cleaner items, you would not be happy here. If youâre willing to pay the high price for the incredible view to have a private motel-like home, youâll be happy. I wouldnât come back here and have done much better in the area in the past for comparable cost.
This house is all about the view, beautiful sunsets and sitting in the hot tub looking at the stars. The managing agent was super helpful and responsive. Lots of great places to visit nearby.
This place was amazing. View is incredible. Very clean and definitely a great place for a vacation. Would be nice if it had more sleeping options for couples as I would love to come back with friends or other adult family members. I already want to plan my next trip.

Renting this property was easy and the views made this home. Property manager was helpful and responsive. The home was furnished well however the kitchen was poorly equipped. It felt like most kitchen items were purchased at a garage sale and not furnished or organized like a home you would live in. For example the Home is for five people and you only have four knifes. No cookie sheets, pots were not stored with lids and you were looking from cupboard to cupboard for a lid to match your pot. If you donât cook this is the house for you. The third bedroom is a closet in the master bedroom with an uncomfortable bed, the couch in the living room was a better spot and killer ocean views. The area around the hot tub was being redone with pavers, it was mid process and using at night would be unsafe so we chose not to use the hot tub, which was one of the reasons we selected this home, a little disappointing. The BBQ was missing a handle and tied with a rope to the deck railing, the light for the deck was around the corner, I was unable to untie in the dark and cooking on the dark side of the deck was difficult. This home was very clean and you canât get better views of the ocean, we were able to see whales migrating South and beach access is a short walk and the neighbors are friendly. I would be sure and ask which route to take to Irish Beach, many routes and some are long and super curved. We all took Google maps suggestion which was a mistake.
We enjoyed our stay! The view was beautiful. The private access beach was great for a picnic. We came with our 19&17 year old thinking this property had 3 bedrooms as listed, but I think itâs important for people to know that one of the âbedroomsâ is converted from the master bedroom closet. Neither kid wanted to stay in there so one ended up sleeping on the couch. But Iâm sure if you have little ones it doesnât make as much of a difference, but Its different when your adult children are with you and they donât want to be staying essentially in the same room. The listing says the property âboasts 3 bedroomsâ which we felt was not quite accurate. It was gorgeous and clean. Missing some homey touches like blow dryers, TP in the bathrooms, oil in the kitchen for cooking, lounge patio chaos and maybe some pavers to walk down to the hot tub. Just a few things to take it to the next level of a comfortable vacation home. Overall it was a great place to stay. Weâd go back again, but probably not with the kids. Thanks for having us!
Loved this house, awesome location with sweeping views making it perfect for whale watching right from the living room. Bring your binoculars and enjoy the view!
Rahus Ocean Rufuge was a dream come true - an experience I've had on my bucket list for years (that being staying in a nice house with a stunning ocean view). The house itself is great - it is not super fancy, but it is very comfortable, clean, and well-cared for. The view, of course, is to die for. The entire time we were there we didn't do much more than quietly take in the ocean view, rest, and kind of tune out from the rest of our worries. To our amazement, there were whales (well, at least their spouts!) visible all day long. The outdoor jacuzzzi was also an amazing experience - we would go in in the morning and again just after the sunset to revel in the fading orange glow on the horizon. The bed was very comfortable and the kitchen well stocked with supplies and snacks. We had an amazing time.
Note that the nest grocery to shop in is the Ace Hardware/supermarket in Manchester - don't bother with the one in Point Arena!

Immediately after arriving and seeing the view, my son told me, "Great pick mom!" Those 3 words say it all.
The views are spectacular, the rooms are warm and cozy, tge access to the private beach was a plus. We saw deers, quails. and seals. A very relaxing and great get away. I highly recommend staying here. You wont regret it.
Just minor things to take note of: If you plan on cooking meals make sure to bring seasoning and condiments. There's salt, pepper, soy sauce and vinegar. Local stores close around 7 pm.
Also. make sure to bring your own beach towels and chairs.
I would highly recommend this place and we hope to return some day.
Thank you for letting us stay.
Just walking through the door takes your breath away looking at the Pacific through the front wall of windows in the living area. Open the 2 sets of sliding glass doors and you get the full effect by hearing the waves. Totally mesmerizing!
Both bedrooms open to the Pacific side so you can sleep with that too! Oh and you can also cook gazing out at the incredible scenery too!
Kitchen nicely stocked with utensils, pots, pans etc. You will need to supply any spices/herbs as there is only s/p there, couldn't find a toaster otherwise we were totally set.
Beds were very comfy and nice soft sheets. The room posted with a single bed looks to be the very cool closet in the master bedroom with a skylight and window.
Comfy couches in the living area, we didn't watch much TV but the Netflix worked fine when we did. Wifi also worked fine. There were a couple of throw blankets that came in very handy as it easily goes into the 50's at night. Did enjoy hanging out on the cushioned window seats just gazing out at the ocean.
The hot tub is accessed out the master bedroom and down several steps. It is heaven just staring out at that view.
The deck was another great place to hang out. Luckily we found a few chairs to put out there to relax. I am guessing the wind can be fierce so it is not furnished with deck furniture. Barbecue worked perfectly!
A very well stocked market that is combined with Ace Hardware is a very short distance away.
Private beach for the neighborhood is accessed as you turn in the street, beach key is provided. You do end up level with the beach and it is beautiful.
We saw deer daily show up in our and surrounding yards and birds soaring around.
It way exceeded our expectations!! Would love to come back!!
