„A lovely stay in a cute old stable. Lovely provision of cereal, bread, butter, milk and coffee (including some for the cafetière for those like me who don’t drink instant). The fridge has a small freezer at the top which is great. The living room is double height and very comfy with underfloor heating, the bedroom is upstairs on the mezzanine. The owners have really thought about the things you need when staying away in self-catered accommodation and it shows! 10/10“

„We have just returned from a lovely weekend at Hillcrest cottage. It is exactly as shown in the listing. We loved the hot tub and sitting around the fire outside on the terrace watching the stars! Although it seems quite isolated it is less than half an hour’s stroll from Dunston and a few minutes further to Metheringham. The cottage and the views were stunning and we would highly recommend!“

„Very helpful and friendly owners, great location for visiting our new granddaughter. 2 mins walk to lovely Pearsons park. Some lovely welcoming items, lots of fresh fruit, bread, butter, milk and cake all vegan as owners are, a couple of things i would suggest is maybe a door curtain could be put in place as there was no privacy going from the bathroom across the kitchen to the bedroom also there was no smoke alarm present. All in all a nice stay 👍 “

„A lovely house which was perfect for our short family break. The house is completed to a high spec and the garden is very well maintained. The bar area is a bonus and a really nice area for socialising. Location was good to go to beaches and other local areas. Most things are within a 10-15 minute drive. Kids and grandparents really enjoyed the stay.“

„Annual girls trip; expectation of relaxation and fun. Upon arrival the Lodge was clean, new carpets, clean walls, new kitchen and well appointed/decorated throughout- looks can be deceiving. Preliminary walk around and checks found there was no fire alarms, fire blanket and no Welcome pack or inventory list of what to expect or where to go for emergency planning. Locks to back door broken- no keys to the other back and side door. Mouse trap and fresh droppings under the sink. No PAT testing of ...
