« We went back and forth about booking due to the reviews and I’m so glad we just went ahead and booked. It’s definitely a good old northern cabin on the lake, outdated, and some spider webs. But, the lake was nice, nice dock, fire pit cozy, beds were comfy and we had a great time! Would definitely rebook if we find ourselves in the area again. »

« Don't even think about booking another place on the lake! Completely secluded from all the other cabins on the whole South side. Having your own boat launch and power for charging trolling motor right on the dock was fantastic. No need to trailer the boat or pull it out to plug in every night. The cabin was better than advertised. Huge yard for yard games, kids had their own bedrooms and bathroom downstairs and more than enough amenities already there to use, no need to over pack. « Had a wonderful cozy and relaxing time at The Red Barn. The upstairs was perfect for our two daughters to have to themselves. We enjoyed renting a pontoon while we were there and I highly recommend that from the owner as well!! It’s exactly as described and they were super easy to work with. It was a unique place and that added a lot of charm to the stay overall. I’d stay in a fun and different place like this a thousand times before a hotel or condo that’s always the same cookie cutter...

« Had a great week at this spot! We were looking for a getaway away from people and more in nature and this definitely offered that. It's a pretty minimal setup. There's no running water on site (the pump water isn't drinkable), so make sure to bring some extra water for your stay. There was water there in a few jugs, but we found it helpful to have bottled water to put in the mini fridge. Otherwise, everything was as pictured and very comfortable. « We had a great time here.There was plenty of room for our 2 families, indoor and outdoor. Enjoyed all the water toys they provided, that was a big plus. Fishing was good, catching crappies, northern, large mouth bass. Nice quiet lake.Plenty of wood for campfires and beautiful sauna provided. Pictures are exactly what you get.There are toys and games for the kids also.We will be back next summer! »

« There was more than enough space for our family of six and one dog. The openness of the main living area was fantastic. We could all be in the same room or we could retreat to our own space. The thing I loved most was the view of the lake from every window. The family of loons that frequently passed by the property made it perfect. « Our trip to Spirit Lake was absolutely wonderful! Our family of five (with three teenage boys) felt right at home. The house was cozy and well-equipped — we really only needed to bring clothes and groceries.
