Excellent location, right on a tram station on Collins/Elizabeth. Quiet building. Check in was a joke. There was no information sent to the booking platform regarding the access to the property, despite repeatedly calling the emergency phone number and messaging the host. We ended up booking into a very dirty hotel around the corner for that night as we had nowhere else to sleep (it was midnight). We eventually got a message the next day stating that we had been sent an email with the checkin details. The email came from the personal account of the owner, rather than through the platform we had used to book with. Obviously it went into my junk mail, and had no indication that the email was related to our stay. The 7-11 that we were required to pick our key up from, would not have. been open when we arrived anyway, despite providing our arrival time to the booking platform (Vrbo) prior to journey. We eventually got the keys at 7am the following day, when the shop open. We were only given one key, even though there were 5 people staying there.We booked for 5 people (4 adults and a 15 year old). When we arrived at the property, it was only set up for 4 people. The sofa ‘bed’ was a very small sofa (140x30cm). Did not convert into bed. There were no sheets or blankets provided for sofa. No reference to additional bedding on the property information. Asked host repeatedly for info. No response. Person on couch slept with legs hanging over end of sofa, with towels as sheets .
