« Jay who checked us in was friendly and delightful I enjoyed the text I received once we checked in if we needed something just text them and they will take care of it and we needed more towels and promptly delivered them Two minor things. No coffee maker in the room We enjoy coffee and just so convenient to have a maker in the room without getting dressed to go Down and get it. « The hotel was nice with a large refrigerator, dishwasher and sink. Nice space for guests to sit on couch. Only downfall was that we didn’t get maid service on our 2 night stay. We didnt have a tag up saying no room service annd when we came back later in the day, no one had cleaned the room. We did ask for when we got back but it but it was later in the day and they were already gone. »

« Very clean hotel »

« Mold in the bathroom, shower was not cleaned prior to when we got to the hotel. There is mold on the ceiling near the head of the bed. The carpet is rolled up and separating from the floor and wall the left side night stand is holing it down. Lack of plug in for chargers as well, one roll of toilet paper was available and there were no tissues in the room. »

« I love staying at the Iowa House when I visit my son at Iowa State. It is very close to campus, definitely within walking distance. The rooms are always clean and cool. The dining room always has something to eat at all hours. Breakfast in the mornings are always good. I even got a text asking if I would be eating breakfast. The staff are great and very accommodating. When I go to Ames, this is the first place I look to stay. »

« The kitchenette did not contain plates, silverware or glasses. I did enjoy the larger room size. »

« The room was clean, but dated. Pool and hot tub were nice, my kids enjoyed the pool. Breakfast wasn’t very good, we had eggs which were tasteless and biscuits and gravy also not very good. The stay was quiet and we slept pretty good. »

« The breakfast staff was very friendly and always available to refill whatever needed to be filled. The room itself looked old and dingy, really used and abused, stained chairs, horrible pillows. We booked this particular hotel because we wanted to have the option to have an indoor pool. I called beforehand and asked about the condition of the pool and if if it was open. I was assured that it was. When we got to the Hotel and wanted to use the pool, we were told that the poolPool was closed...

« First the hotel has a horrible gas smell! Second the hotel if very run down, stains on the floors, ceiling falling down, floor uneven. The gym has equipment that doesn’t work. »
