A great disappointment all around
This is a small studio apt in a poorly maintained building in downtown Milwaukee. It does not have a water view as advertised. But more problematic was the fact that the lock on the building did not work and the building was not secure. Anyone could enter the building at any time. There were also bags of trash on all the stair landings and a broken window in the âlobbyâ. I had tried to contact the host twice before arriving to get the access information and gotten no response. Finally I got that info on the day of my arrival. When I contacted the host about the broken building lock , their response was that they were not responsible for the building. They reported that there had been â no break-ins reportedâ. My wife and I did not feel it was a safe place to stay and asked to cancel the reservation and receive a refund. The host said that was not policy. They did not offer an alternative place to stay. They said they would call me if they could get a locksmith to repair the door. But they never called back. We did not stay and are still waiting for VRBO Customer Service to respond to our complaint. Poor service, poor apt. Do not rent from this organization.
