A nice hotel that I’ve been visiting for the last 25 years and it hasn’t changed in the last 20 years that’s good and bad at the same time that installation in the bathrooms and showsers are out of date but everything is spotless clean

Auch wenn das Hotel und die Deko mittlerweile deutlich Patina angesetzt hat, war meinerseits eigentlich nichts zu beanstanden. Grundsätzlich freundliches, hilfsbereites Personal, und nette Willkommensgetränke und Snacks (f. Discovery Gold). Leider war nur ein - passables - Restaurant (The Grill) geöffnet. Fast schon lustig war, daß die Inzahlungnahme meiner angesparten Discovery-Dollars mit der 'Begründung abgelehnt wurde, daß man mit Discovery keine Internetverbindung herstellen könne.

Sind nach 29 Jahren wieder gekommen. Ist noch immer ein Top-Haus auch wenn sicher die Corona-Krise nicht Spurlos an ihm vorbeigegangen ist. Die Zimmer sind perfekt und mit allem ausgestattet was man sich wünschen kann. Ausser dass man die Klimaanlage nicht ausschalten kann. Was ärgerlich ist, dass sich in den öffentlichen Bereichen unzählige Vögel eingenistet haben, die viel verschmutzen und das Essen der unabgeräumten Teller stehlen. Ein toller Aufenthalt!

Für uns die Mutter der Top 4 ( Atlantis - Bahamas / Dubai und Emirates Palace) 😍! Wunderschön eingebettet in die Natur “Lost City“ halt!😉 Top Personal und Service! Als Inhaberin eines eigenen 5 Sterne BnBs würde ich dem Management empfehlen den Checkin, informativer und exklusiver zu gestalten. Mehr Infos, als das Übliche: „ Was kann man tun, wo ist was, was ist inklusive!“ Auch ein Hotelprospekt und ein Hotelplan wäre schön! Damit meine ich NUR das Hotel, - nicht die Anlage „Sun City“! Auch ein Willkommensdrink, zB auch wenigstens ein Saft oder Tee, sowie Erfrischungstücher wären auf diesem Standard sicher wünschenswert und machbar!

Überteuertes Hotel in schöner Lage
Wir waren schon mehrmals als Familie in Südafrika und auch schon mehrmals im Palace. Dieses Mal wird aber das letzte Mal gewesen sein, das wir im Palace gewohnt haben. Unsere Zimmer (insgesamt 5 Zimmer) waren im ersten Stock und wir waren erstaunt wie laut es in dem Hotel geworden ist. Abends (23:00 Uhr) und Morgens (05:00) ratterte das Hotelpersonal mit Wagen durch die Gänge, am Freitag und Samstag wurden Parties im Hotel gefeiert und entsprechend laut ging es auf den Gängen zu. Beim einchecken war nur ein Schalter besetzt. Erst nach 20 Minuten kam weiteres Personal um die Gäste zu bedienen. Das Gym ist ausserhalb und mit einem Shuttle zu erreichen. Auch hier hatten wir extreme Wartezeiten. Jeweils 1/2 Stunde um dort hinzukommen und wieder zurückzukommen. Beim Concierge haben wir falsche Informationen zu den Öffnungszeiten des angrenzenden Nationalparks bekommen. Fazit: Dieses Hotel ist so nicht mehr zu empfehlen.

Wunderschöner Urlaubsabschluss
Der Hotelkomplex hat so viele kleine Datails, das es immer was zum anschauen gibt. Hier steckt die Liebe im Detail. Ein wundervoll stielvoller Aufenthalt. Wir haben es sehr genossen. Hier haben wir nach einer erkebnisreichen Pirschfahrt im Pilanesberg Nationalpark (mit dem Mietwagen in 5 Minuten am Eingang) super entspannt.

Erholung nach anstrengender Safari
Unser Zimmer lag im EG, neben der Reception und dem Storage Room, sodass wir morgens jeweils durch das Krachen der Türe und der Trollys geweckt wurden. Das Zimmer war etwas altbacken, das Bad leicht heruntergekommen, aber sehr geräumig. Das ganze Hotel ist opulent und teilweise sollten die Böden und die Teppiche ersetzt werden. Das Essen in Restaurant und der Service waren dafür Spitze. Ach die Poolanlage ist einzigartig.

Einmal im Leben sollte man sich so etwas gönnen..
Sun City als Resort ist schon die Reise wert, der Aufenthalt im Palace setzt dem allerdings die Krone auf. Vom Frühstücksbuffet über persönlichen Shuttle egal wohin bis zum bereit gelegten Bademantel ist alles da und man hat den Eindruck es ist immer etwas mehr von allem da...sehr zu empfehlen, auch wenn man an der ein oder anderen Stelle sieht das alles nicht brandneu ist.

Einmaliges Erlebnis
Die Architektur dieses Hotels ist einmalig in ihrer Durchgängigkeit und Fantasie. Alles ist überaus großzügig angelegt in Anlehnung an den Jugendstil. Das Alles ist eingebettet in diese wunderbare Natur. Alle Bediensteten sind sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit und die Mahlzeiten, angefangen vom Frühstücksbuffet, welches keine Wünsche offen lässt bis zur Qualität der Speisen zu den übrigen Mahlzeiten. Einziger Wermutstropfen ist die teilweise mangelhafte Organisation im Service. Entweder klappt das Management nicht oder das Personal ist nicht genügend ausgebildet. Würde trotzdem noch einmal dort hin reisen!

Sehr pompös. Der Empfang war auf sehr hohen Niveau. Das Hotel ist wie aus 1001 Nacht. Die Bedienung im Restaurant (Buffet)war zwar freundlich, aber während des Essens nicht auffindbar. Spa Abteilung war sehr schön, Empfang super. Die Kosmetikerin hat leider nicht viel Ahnung von ihrem Fach gehabt. Sie hat mich bei der Pedicüre immer wieder verletzt (so dass es richtig geblutet hat) und die Maniküre war sehr schlecht durchgeführt. Der Rest war einfach fantastisch. Die andere zwei Restaurants sind auf höchsten Niveau.

Wahnsinnig viele Aktivitäten. Entertainment center (für den Abend) war leider wegen Renovation geschlossen.

Aufenthalt zwischen Weihnachten und New Year. Hotel total überfordert. Sowohl beim Check in, beim Check out, beim Frühstück. Ewige Wartezeiten. Zimmer nicht wie bestellt; angebotene Alternativen (nach mehrmaligem insistieren) mangelhaft und entsprachen nicht der gebuchten und bezahlten Kategorie. Hotel grundsätzlich in die Jahre gekommen. Mitglied der Leading Hotels of the World? Preis-Leistung passt nicht. Wir als Individual-Reisende u.a. von chinesischen Gruppen verdrängt und vielleicht auch nicht mehr wichtig. Positiv ein enormer Pool im Garten, die Nähe zum Pilanesberg National Park (auf jeden Fall einen Besuch wert).

ausgezeichneter Aufenthalt im Palace. Rundum exzellente Urlaubstage verbracht. Angefangen vom persönlichen Check in über alle Aktivitätenbuchungen, ausgezeichnetem Service und super Preisleistungsverhältnis für essen und trinken. Der Pool war ein bißchen zu kühl. Der Pool Service ausgezeichnet. Das Frühstück war der Hammer. Wer da alle Speisen probieren möchte, benötigt Stunden. Sehr guter Sekt inclusive.

wir waren drei naechte im hotel. erinnerte an disneyland, aber schlechter: elektriziteat 30 min ausgefallen/im fensterlosen flur gehockt, gefrorerenes sushi am fruehstuecksbuffet, taeglich 10 min warteschlange vor der tischzuweisung, langes warten auf toast/butter/wasser, speisenqualitaet bestenfalls maessig, klaustrophobische bettdecken... alles keine katastrophen, aber das preis-leistungs-verhaeltnis ist unakzptabel

Sun City is nestled in an absolutely beautiful area and truly offers a luxurious escape. We stayed at The Palace which we were really looking forward to. The resort itself offers plenty to do and see, or just relax by the pool, at very affordable prices. The negatives is that our bedding and the linen used in the main restaurant had stains on them each of the days we were there. The Palace itself needs touching up as paint is peeling and umbrellas and such have holes in them. Lastly, the staff kept coming into our room multiple times throughout the day for reasons we couldn't quite figure out. Sometimes it was to clean our room, other times to ask if our room has been cleaned, and a few times a staff member walked in, saw us there and simply walked out. We would definitely visit again but there is definitely room for imporovement.

The entire holiday was an unforgettable first class experience from arrival to checkout. We stayed for 9 nights as a family holiday. Facilities and food were all excellent. The steaks in the Grill Room were among the best we have ever had. Staff could not do enough to help and were really friendly. Would love to come back

Unbelievable hotel!! If I could give it 10 stars I would. Great customer service, the hotel is a real palace, amazing architecture and decorations. The place also Sun city is a must go with great activities for a couple with or without kids. We did Quad, zip line, safari, pools, spa you name it!!!! Love this place and will definitely come back!!!

The resort itself was mind blowing, character filled, it is the biggest and best breakfast we have ever eaten in the world in all our years of travel, the room was filled with South African decor and had everything you needed including a shower and bath and separate toilet, having access to the Valley of the Waves (water slides and wave pool and lazy river) included was an added bonus, having a courtesy bus also included to drop you off at various Sun city locations was amazing including being able to get access to a Spar Supermarket near the entrance to Sun city where we topped up on supplies for our room. The internet was super strong as well. We thoroughly recommend this hotel to anyone and everyone it is one of the best places we gave ever stayed at in the world.
