„Cabin was exactly as pictured, very private and super clean. We stayed 4 nights and visited the NR Gorge which is spectacular to see. Make sure to go all the way to the bottom of the gorge where there is a small bridge you can walk across and the best place to photograph the actual bridge. We were also able to see people on rafts floating the river and going across the rapids. The cabin was in close proximity to Gauley Bridge, Ansted (lots of history + Cathedral waterfall), Hawk’s Nest park, ...

„Very private location. Older cabin but i prefer that over the new age stuff feels more like home to me. Plenty of stuff to do around within 30 mins. Simple info for check-in and owners were very respectful of privacy. Hot tub was a plus but i stayed out front burning wood which you can buy from em and not have to deal with it. Definitely planning on going back“

„The Sugar Shack was the perfect getaway spot for us. My husband and I wanted a quiet place where we could relax and enjoy nature. The Sugar Shack more than met our needs. It’s location was perfect for day trips to State Parks. The hot tub was a great way to relax at the end of the day. We’d definitely stay there again.“

„My adult kids and my husband and I spent the weekend hiking so it was nice to come back to the cabin to relax and eat a home cooked dinner. Perfect size for all of us. And close to many things yet the place was secluded. We saw deer in the backyard and the sunset view was gorgeous.“

„Was perfect for the price and exactly what we wanted!! The area around had a lot of access to the river and hiking trails. The cabin itself was in great condition, AC was great, WiFi was a little bit iffy but who cares when you’re in the middle of the woods. “
