If you are looking for a nice experience when traveling with a family, including the use of an indoor pool, DO NOT stay at this property.
The only reason I chose this hotel was so my 4-year-old could enjoy a warm indoor pool before visiting the Mystic Aquarium. Before booking, I specifically called the hotel and was told the pool was maintained at 78 degrees and was enjoyable for families. That was not true.
The pool water was tepid at best, and the pool area itself was cold. There were visible building issues contributing to this, including a ¼”–½” gap under an exterior door with no weather stripping and windows covered in condensation, indicating inadequate insulation for this climate. The space was clearly not properly heated or maintained.
I raised concerns early in the morning and was told maintenance would be contacted, but no one followed up. Later, when I spoke with Operations Manager Heather Park, she was dismissive and defensive, insisting the water temperature was fine and implying it only felt cold due to the windows. That response was insulting and unprofessional.
Bottom line:
I was given inaccurate information about the pool.
The pool area is poorly designed and inadequately climate-controlled.
Customer service was dismissive and rude.
This was a disappointing experience, especially for a family with a young child. I would not recommend this hotel if an indoor pool is important to your stay.
