Unsafe Layout – Not Suitable for Elderly GuestsWe booked Sweet Magnolia in Nacogdoches for Oct 30–31 for my husband, my 86-year-old mother (who uses a walker), and myself. The host did mention that the front steps might be difficult, but the issues went far beyond that. The floors were very slanted, and the home’s layout was extremely awkward—one bedroom and bath in the front, and the other two only reachable by walking through the living room, kitchen, and laundry area with several raised thresholds. It was unsafe for my mother to navigate, and if she’d needed help during the night, we couldn’t have heard her. We left within 30 minutes and found a hotel instead. The house appeared fairly clean (except a stained sofa), but the host refused any refund. Very disappointing and not accurately described for accessibility.
