Take a short drive or bike ride north to the Outer Banks Fishing Pier and Fish Head's Bar and Grill, where you can order food and drinks on the oceanfront while listening to live music. You'll be just 3 miles from Coquina Beach and the 4x4 beaches, part of the Cape Hatteras National Seashore and a favorite local spot for fishing and surfing. From there, explore Bodie Island Lighthouse or hop on a ferry for a day trip to Ocracoke.
