„The historic building is fabulous, the atmosphere great, it's the pole position in Windermere, great view on the lake. I wonder if it is necessary that during the summer season the building is under construction. With scaffoldings in front of the windows, some parts of the building beside the entrance in bad condition, and even a corridor we had to pass everyday was stuffed with furniture, cardboard boxes ... This is not the atmosphere for holidays. Due to repairs on some wires, the internet ...

„This was a nice place to stay for a few nights, and quiet apart from the neighbour’s yappy dog and in a great central location for Windermere. Helpful staff, breakfast was good - perhaps could do with slightly bigger portion sizes though. The shower was tiny. Only comfortable if you are child-sized. This was my only bugbear as I am a 6ft fat bloke. Car parking plentiful. But be aware if you have an SUV you might struggle to get round the back because of the poor parking of others making it ...
