« This is such a unique and beautiful cottage. The cottage is spacious, charming, and beautifully presented. All the extras the host provided (soft drinks, milk, coffee, bread, etc.) were a lovely touch and made the experience even more special. The nature walking trails and outdoor bath were highlights of our stay. The rustic, vintage vibe creates a wonderful atmosphere, and the fireplace adds a romantic touch. « The kitchen was well equipped with crockery, utensils, good size fridge and full oven. The full bottle of milk was a nice touch. Cooking basics like olive oil would have been helpful as we did a lot of meals in. Location to the river and trails was about 1.5kms either direction. The location was quiet with great views of the mountains. Close to local Cromwell attractions and wineries. »

« Our ONLY regret was in only booking two nights - we could have stayed a month. Bag End is a wonderful creative haven; a true oasis. A couple blocks walk from an interesting area of shops, cafes, restaurants and galleries, yet at “home” you’re nestled in a garden paradise. And it IS a home - some b&b’s feel like impersonal hotels - here you are surrounded by artwork and flowers and a true sense that it is a well loved space. We would happily return! »
