WiFi and tvs allowed the teen to still feel connected, while the hammock, screened in porch, fire pit and natural surroundings created a sense of serenity. „Perfect get away to find peace and recharge. Spent four nights at Lakota to escape the DC hustle and left refreshed. Bed was very comfortable as was the couch and outside furniture. Kitchen is well equipped. The cabin sits back from the main road and is obscured by trees from the road behind so plenty of privacy and quiet. The recently graded and smoothed access road is gravel which wasn't an issue with our SUV and we saw plenty of non-SUV vehicles going up and down (early September). ...

We especially enjoyed the Nespresso machine, high-quality bedding and pillows, room-by-room temperature control, and a variety of ways to enjoy the outdoor space. WiFi and phone service were great despite the remote location. Tips: access is via a long, narrow gravel road, so drive carefully.
