North of the noise and saturated color of the Quarter is a New Orleans neighborhood that’s perfected the art of living. “Welcome to Mid-City,” read the signs on the neutral ground. And that’s truth in advertising. It’s the kind of place where your auto mechanic invites you to a crawfish boil and a total stranger may buy you a drink at an Irish pub or a cannoli at an Italian bakery. Take the red streetcar line up Canal to the Cemeteries (Mid-City’s dead neighbors are as interesting as the live ones) or bike the new 2.6-mile-long Lafitte Greenway that stretches from Basin Street to Carrollton Avenue and, conveniently, past a po’ boy shop or two – or 17 – with a sno-ball shop and a micro-brewery thrown in for good measure. Buttermilk biscuits. Live music. A bowl of Vietnamese pho. Who wouldn’t want to visit? Eat. Drink. Get up here.

October in New Orleans brings some of the city's best weather - warm afternoons, long evenings, and just enough cool in the air at night to make the fire pit the center of every gathering. This five-bedroom Mid-City home is where larger groups land when they want space, comfort, and a genuine neighborhood to explore, complete with city skyline views and a fully fenced private backyard all to themselves. From the private entrance to the gas BBQ grill to the outdoor dining area, every detail here is set up for a group to move in, spread out, and make the most of the city.

Living space
This single-level home is built for groups, with no stairs and a comfortable layout that flows easily across the living and dining areas. Central air conditioning, ceiling fans, and central heating keep the temperature right year-round, while in-unit washer and dryer, iron, clothing storage, and a full set of essentials - towels, bed linens, soap, and toilet paper - make settling in easy. A dedicated workspace in a common area is ready for anyone who needs to get something done between adventures.

Sleeping arrangements
Five bedrooms sleep up to 10 guests, each fitted with room-darkening shades to help you rest whenever New Orleans finally lets you. Three full bathrooms - each with a bathtub, shampoo, conditioner, body soap, shower gel, and hair dryer - mean no queuing at the start of the day, even for a full house.

Kitchen & dining
The chef's kitchen is equipped for groups who like to cook at home. A Frigidaire stainless steel electric stove, oven, dishwasher, refrigerator, freezer, and microwave handle all the basics, along with cooking essentials - pots, pans, oil, salt, and pepper - plus a full set of dishes and silverware, a toaster, and a baking sheet. Coffee is provided, and the drip coffee maker is ready to go from the first morning. Gather at the dining table for shared meals before heading out into the city.

Entertainment & connectivity
The 32-inch HDTV is loaded with Amazon Prime Video, Disney+, HBO Max, Hulu, Netflix, and Roku, backed by Wi-Fi and an Ethernet connection. Families traveling with young children can request a pack 'n play/travel crib and standalone high chair - sheets and food tray included - and babysitter recommendations are available if you need a night out on your own.

Outdoor living
Step outside to a fully fenced private backyard made for long evenings and easy gatherings. Fire up the gas BBQ grill, set up a game of cornhole, and dine al fresco at the outdoor dining area before moving to the fire pit as the evening cools. A private patio gives you another spot to settle in, and outdoor furniture throughout means every corner of the yard is easy to use.

The home sits in Mid-City, 0.7 miles from the Superdome and minutes from the French Quarter, Bourbon Street, and local favorites like Trader Joe's and the Lafitte Greenway. The Canal Street streetcar is steps away, putting the city's best neighborhoods within easy reach. A private entrance and self check-in via smart lock make arrival simple at any hour. Free off-street parking fits up to three cars in the driveway, with additional free street parking nearby. Cleaning during your stay can be arranged, and long-term stays are welcome.
