Overall AMAZING property!! We did lose power for 24 hours but the host kept checking in on us. The house was beautiful and spacious. The pool was absolutely amazing. Definitely a HUGE plus to the property. Super great location. Very quiet area. Only a couple things that were subpar...the water pressure on the lower level and the warmness of the water was very low making it hard to shower. The fire pit was very close to a lot of trees so we did not use it for fear of fire. And obviously a generator would have been helpful with no power and water but that's ok. We absolutely loved the property. The fishing was fun. The decks and pool seating were so nice. We were able to bring our doggie best friends so that was a huge plus. The furniture and beds were comfortable and plentiful. All in all what a wonderful property for a calm serene vacation and break from the world!!

Overall the property met our expectations. There are aspects that could have been better. I agree with other reviewers who believe this property would benfit if more attention was paid to it. *Check in is 4pm and so you'd assume the property had everything neccesary. However only one garbage bag was provided and there were no paper towels. *The kitchen is indeed fully stocked, however there are no empty cabinets whatsoever for food to be put away. *The other reviewer was correct, there is a door that does not lock. The contact would not come out to fix it, they instead direct you to a stick to place in the slider track (which is not long enough). *While this may be considered a "lake house" you will arrive to find it much more of a large pond than a lake, however the fishing was fantastic for the kids. *None of the bedrooms have televisions, there are only 2 tvs in the entire house in the shared spaces. * The piano is a great feature and a beautiful addition to the space, but horribly out of tune and so more for show than for playing if you had wanted to enjoy it. *The majority of the windows do not have screens and there are plenty of bugs so don't open the windows. *There were towels for the pool provided (and the pool was great because as mentioned....pond) but the rest of the house did not have many towels. *the game room is cool, however because it is a garage it is quite hot.

We had high hopes and wanted to enjoy a relaxing family mini vacation until we arrive at this property. We arrived at check in at 3 pm after driving for 2.5 hours but had to wait in the street until the water truck was done filling the pool. The house had potential if ony the owners took care and maintained the property. It was 86 degrees in the house and took 9 hours to reach 74 degrees. The house was dirty, had bugs and mouse droppings, doors didn't lock, open electrical wires, but I will let the photos speak for themselves. We booked the house for 5 nights we left the following day and had to find another house in Sparta which was absolutely gorgeous!! The owner clearly used filters on the photograph for VRBO. They don't deserve 1 star. I wish I could post all the pictures but they only allow 8. I wouldn't recommend this property to my worse enemy.

Beautiful house close to local wedding venues.

This is a great house in a great location. We stayed there when we were in town for our daughter's wedding. It is a beautiful area. The house is well stocked with everything we needed. It is roomy and well decorated. We really enjoyed the eclectic art hung throughout the house

Perfect Family House

House was exactly as described! Loved the setting, the location and the large spaces so we could spread out a bit. Thoroughly enjoyed the fire pit! Everyone had a very nice stay!
