  • Whether you need a vacation getaway or longer-term rental, you'll love the location and layout of this vintage beach cottage. It's just a three-minute walk to Crescent Beach and just a few minutes more to McCooks Beach or to the Niantic Bay Yacht Club. You're an easy 10-minute drive to Dominion Millstone, 15 minutes to General Dynamics/Electric Boat, and 20 minutes to the Naval Submarine Base.

    The house has two bedrooms and can sleep up to 6. Fully-renovated kitchen with dishwasher, gas stove, and all standard kitchen supplies provided. House has central heat and a/c units for year-round comfort. Private back yard has patio seating, gas grill, and room to play and relax.

Wonderful location 2 blocks from the beach. Check-in was easy. There's a fully functional kitchen. Young children loved their bedroom with toys, books, and bunkbed.

Niantic get a way

Kitchen and bathroom were pristine. Very important to us. Living room and bedrooms clean and fresh. A little outdated but had character. Enjoyed our stay. Already thinking about next year.

Nice cottage and great location

We had a wonderful time at the cottage. The location is fantastic- only a few blocks from Crescent Beach and a 10 minute walk from downtown Niantic. Amenities are pretty complete too - we were happy, for example, to find a washer / dryer that was a big bonus for our 10 day stay. As another review mentioned, with a few small improvements (i.e., new windows and some cosmetic repairs) this cottage would be stellar. But it was a very nice place to stay and well worth the rental price.

Property owner willingly refunded 100% of our stay. We only spent one night of the eleven that were booked due to our dissatisfaction with the condition of the property. Pictures do not accurately portray this rental, the air conditioning was noisy and inadequate, there is an offensive mildew smell, windows that don’t close and overall not a well kept property.

Disappointed

This property has potential but is not in shape for rental. The kitchen remodel was unfinished. There was no hardware. There is a foul odor that permeates the entire house perhaps from the shag carpet. The coffee maker had moldy grounds. There are mismatched and old window treatments and the furniture is depressing. Some of the ceiling tiles were up with tape which let go during our stay. The owner had someone come check out the leaks quickly but the hole was left. We are not typically inclined to leave a bad review but this was a disappointing stay.

Comfortable and Convienient

The home was very conveniently located to the beach and the towns of Niantic, Lyme, Groton, and Mystic are all within very easy driving distance as well as the two large casinos in the area. The owner is easy to communicate with and accommodating. I enjoyed my stay and would recommend the house / owner to anyone wanting to stay in the area.

Very pleasant stay

Great location - close to the beach and the town; host friendly and responsive. Everything as pictured and described. This is an older house with lots of room; too bad only one bathroom. Porch can be used as an additional bedroom. Lots of extra towels and linens including beach towels. Very convenient
