« Directions on accessing the unit were difficult to follow. The heat was not working well and it was a very cold week in Chicago so it was uncomfortable. Someone was in the unit without advance notice or our permission while we were out which was a security concern and not acceptable. »

« Let’s address the elephant in the room. The Brown Line roars by every 20 minutes and literally shakes the house and drowns out conversation/broadcasts for a few seconds. That said, we loved it! The hosts are gracious and helpful. Beds were very comfortable. The kitchen was well supplied for the cooking needs of up to 6 people. We had a true vacation. We could walk to 4 coffee shops, find great food, and enjoy the neighborhood. Would definitely stay again. I do know people who would be upset...

« The check in process was cumbersome. Having to send copy of drivers license and selfie. The location of the key was confusing. The building interior including stairs were being painted which was somewhat inconvenient. Apartment was clean and beds comfy. It would have been nice to have more coffee grounds to be able to make a pot. »

« The host was very responsive and the apartment was spotless and smelled so clean. The bed was so-so, not the worst I have slept on, but far from the best.The heat was not what I would have wanted, but the host was going to look into it for the next guest. The shower water pressure was awful, especially for a woman with thick hair. Overall, this was in a perfect location and felt very safe. I would stay again if the items mentioned above were addressed. »

« As mentioned in another review, the temperature varies widely throughout the apartment. While the bedroom closest to the kitchen was verging on chilly, the room at the front of the building was too hot to sleep in. Be aware that the listing is incorrect with how it describes what credentials will be required at check-in. The property manager uses a third party app called Guesty, and wants to collect an unnecessary amount of personal information. Other than those two issues, the space was large,...

« Check in was at 3pm, access code received at 4pm; keys provided were not for the front door of the building (had to ask one of the residents to open the front door for us), the key that was provided was for the entry from the garage, but no garage door opener provided. The toilet was not in a working order. Poor communication about the parking. Left the apartment within 10 minutes of our stay and found other accommodation. One other thing that was not appropriate- request to provide...

« Communication with host was great and very helpful! The location was amazing! Close to some great restaurants and bars. The unit was easy to access, very clean and well setup. »

« Clean & spacious apartment. Comfortable beds and all you need in kitchen. Host has excellent communication. Neighborhood is nice and there’s a cute restaurant 3 blocks away. Only downside was the creaky floors and thin walls. Ear plugs are provided which was helpful at night. Overall, we were comfortable here. »

« The location of property was great.! Door to apt was a little complicated figuring out without key after entering code the first time .building is old you can tell with how the floors creek when you walk . Was a lot of damage inside the bathroom on Ceilings and wall like a bad water leak happened and a hole in bedroom like someone punched the wall next to the bed. The hot water did not seem to work well at all and took 20 mins just to heat up … it could use a touch up for sure and some tlc .....
