The house is perfect! The layout is wonderful for visiting, the decor is gorgeous, the many amenities provided by your helpful and kind hosts - I’ve never had ALL these elements together like we have had at Shipwrecked. Everyone commented that the house was quiet and well built. If you want a place to be prepared for all weather and activities for a variety of family interests- rent this spot! We started our vacation with 2 rain days - kids and adults were enjoying the arcade games, foos ball and ping pong, spread all over the house! So fun. The remaining days were sun-filled and we spent time at the beach (chairs and beach carts provided), went to the nearby pool, walked in Gulf State Park, rode bikes (provided). We charged our plug-in Hybrid, nice plus. The neighborhood is adorable and we enjoyed taking walks in the evening because. The hosts are wonderful and answer all questions promptly. Truly, we wanted for nothing!

Perfect stay

House looked even better in person. Very good furniture arrangements and extremely neat. Our kids loved the arcade games and the upstairs projector set up. Walk to the beach was easy and the beach was private access which was excellent. No steps to get to the beach which made it much easier for the cart we had. Pool was a 3 minute walk on the street infront. Chris and Melissa were very responsive and amazingly helpful! Highly recommend this place especially if you have kids. Loved that they had dvd’s. The last night we enjoyed a dvd movie and smores (provided by hosts). Perfect way to kick off the summer.

Better than the photos!

There are so many thoughtful features of this house - too many to list! We were extremely comfortable, it was a quiet neighborhood yet easy to get to anything we wanted to do, and we only wished we had more time! You really could just stay at the house for days with the kids and not get bored! We can't recommend this home highly enough!

Amazing!

My mom wanted a getaway trip with her adult children and her grandchildren close to the beach. The location of the property, the amenities, cleanliness and overall vibe of the property checked all the boxes. It was everything described and more! The hosts were great and I would highly recommend. I plan to return again in the future.

Shipwrecked is a true getaway!

The hosts have created a wonderful getaway because they have literally thought of everything!! What I mean by that is that they have thought of all the little things....full roll of paper towels in the kitchen, extra trash bags in the kitchen, hand soap by every sink, shampoo/conditioner/body wash in the showers, wireless chargers by the beds, beach chairs/wagon/toys, bicycles, not to mention the pack-n-play, high chair, and baby bath seat. Even more things than I can list. I was thrilled when we arrived to see & spend time in this gem and very sad when we had to leave!! The beach is a short walk and very easy to get to. The house is in a great location...close to everything but also not in the hustle and bustle of the main highway. I loved the neighborhood - it was quiet while we were there, even though there were a good many people there. All the beds that we slept in were comfy. I LOVED the back porch - I spent every morning out there for my quiet time. I could go on and on about this house!! I am ready to go back already!! ❤️

Outstanding property

This nearly new property is conveniently located in a newish, quiet, and very well kept neighborhood between Orange Beach proper and Gulf Shores. Very easy and quick car access to shopping, activities, and restaurants, though not a lot of that is in easy walking distance if that’s desired. Our weeklong visit saw very light crowds on the beach in peak summer season and beautiful waters and white sands. The walk to the beach was painless… 5-7 minutes of a mostly paved route helped by a stop lighted crosswalk to more safely and easily cross a single, sometimes busy road. We had a family of 9 with 5 adults and 4 children. The incredibly open floor plan across the kitchen, dining, and living area led to a roominess that was much better than expected even with a large group. The owners have consciously and successfully worked for more of a resort feel than just a beach house, adding several full sized electronic games, a foosball table, a ping pong table, beach equipment (including two wagons for hauling it to the beach), etc. We had brought our own canopy for shade - one thing (nor umbrellas) that they didn’t have already. Our kids had a blast, whether at the beach or the house. The garage was so convenient for drying stuff out of the way. The view from the back deck wasn’t like a much higher priced beachfront house, but the white sands, hammocks, and cornhole games helped to keep the beachfront feel. Overall we would definitely stay here again!

Excellent Experience

Can't say enough about this house. It was super clean and roomy. There were tons of things for the kids to enjoy in the house. The bikes were a plus so we could take the trail behind the house. Walk to the beach wasn't too bad. If you're rich, rent a golf cart.

Would most definitely stay again!!!!

Property was very clean!!! Most definitely had the extra things we needed but couldn’t bring such as beach supplies and the ride on the bikes was a plus!!!!! the neighborhood is super quiet and peaceful. The location of the property was not far from the stores or restaurants. Would stay again and high recommend!!!

Wonderful Stay!

We had a wonderful stay! The owners were so helpful and easy to communicate with. The house is an easy stroll to the beach, which wasn’t crowded at all. Plenty of room to spread out if you have kids or a couple of families. The back porch was a peaceful retreat in the morning and evenings. We’ve stayed at many places on the coast and this is one of the best. Fun coffee maker, games and we just loved riding the bikes on the extensive nature trails right out of the back of neighborhood. This was definitely the highlight of the trip. Thanks so much for making our vacation special.

Awesome Spring Break!

My family and I really enjoyed our stay at Shipwrecked. The amenities were nice and the owners thought of everything. The kitchen was fully stocked with dishes and cookware. Plenty of paper towel, tissue, hand soap and bath towels. Plenty of bikes if you want to take a nice ride through the neighborhood or the bike trails at Gulf State Park. The back yard is very relaxing. The community pool is across from the house. The neighborhood is really quiet. If you are going to the beach (we didn't) there are plenty of toys, chairs and even wagons for the walk to the beach. The owners are very responsive and try their best to make sure you are comfortable. You won't go wrong with Shipwrecked.

My family and I stayed in this beautiful home for the weekend of my daughter’s volleyball tournament in Foley, AL. I cannot say enough about this beautiful home! We loved the location, the neighborhood was gorgeous, and the house was immaculate. Probably the nicest and best kept rental we’ve ever stayed in! It is beautiful, very well-decorated, super clean & the hosts were wonderful!! The upstairs entertainment room is perfect for kids or teenagers! I highly recommend this home for families!! Thank you for your hospitality, and we will definitely be back to stay soon❤️❤️

BEST VACATION HOME I HAVE EVER RENTED!!!!!!!

I rented this home for a Birthday weekend getaway for my daughter's 13th birthday and it could not have been more perfect. The home is beautiful and looks exactly as advertised. It has so much to offer. It is so spacious and you could stay a full week without even leaving and still get to go to the beach (backyard), pool, ride bikes, relax on hammock, and play games with the family.....I mean I could go on and on! I just wish our stay was longer because we didn't even get to take advantage of all it has to offer. We will definitely be booking this home again in the future. The owners were such pleasure to deal with as well. Melissa stayed in touch with me during the stay to make sure all was going well. So if you are looking for a home for your next vacation with family/friends, book "Shipwrecked" you won't regret it. Thanks again Melissa and Chris for helping make this a great trip for my family especially my girl.
