„Second time me and my wife have stayed at the white lion and it was no different to the first excellent place to stay clean room and great staff the only down side was the so called Indian restaurant sea spice very disappointing because it's not a genuine Indian restaurant. I think it's the only one in aldeburgh so I can see why people have to go there but it's not the real thing.“

„We only stayed for 1 night but we were so impressed with how comfy, clean and spacious the lodge was and also the location of the hotel such a beautiful setting with the castle very close by really picturesque. Hotel staff were brilliant very helpful and couldn’t do enough for you. The breakfast which was included in the price was delicious and the eggs Benedict were perfect with a nice runny yolk. „Het personeel was zeer vriendelijk. Het ontbijt en ook het restaurant waren uitstekend. Echter, onze kamer was redelijk schoon bij onze komst, maar is daarna niet schoongemaakt. Het bed werd meestal niet opgemaakt. Vuile theekopjes bleven gewoon staan. De vloer is niet gestofzuigd. Zeep en shampoo werden niet aangevuld. Na klachten besloot de 'general manager' dat we niet hoefde te betalen voor het ontbijt, een bedrag van ongeveer €180.“
