We stayed one night. Here is what happened:
1] Check-in— We had received an email saying that a PIN would be emailed to us prior to check-in. This would allow us entry to the suite. It was not emailed until we repeatedly tried to contact the host.
2] Just after check-in—In that same email (see #1) we were told key cards would be placed within the suite. These key cards would give access to the swimming pool and other facilities. The key cards were not supplied. They were only delivered to us when, again, we tried contacting the host.
3] 4:00 AM—My wife wakes up and realizes there are BEDBUGS on our sheets and pillow!!!! I proceed to immediately contact the host to let her know, and then take all my family's clothes, shoes, bags, etc. to a 24-hour laundromat to use the washers and dryers.
We checked out not long after I return.
I contact the host and request a refund. The host responds that she will be in touch with the owner and will arrange for the refund. It NEVER gets done.
I have been in touch with the host several times now, over the course of several days. Each time this person expresses sympathy, yet nothing gets done.
It is now 1 week since we first checked in. WE HAVE STILL NOT RECEIVED A REFUND. In fact, I am almost certain that if I were to contact the host right now, sympathy would again be expressed, promises to provide the refund would again be made, and still the refund would not be provided.
My family has been traumatized by this experience.
