Our stay at Sun Stays Property: 3967300, 91 Orono Landing Rd was a disaster. The Property is completely run down, dirty and misrepresented. -The cleanliness and level of linens, beds, etc are not up to standard, nor match the descriptions.-The Internet service is weak, keeps dropping and is slow. -None of the doors close to keep out light/noise or provide privacy in bathrooms or bedrooms. -Bugs and cobwebs everywhere-Kitchen light doesn’t work and has fallen from ceiling-Arcade games are broken, ping pong paddles and balls are broken-Promised laundry washer/dryer is not there (see host chat). No remedy was offered.-Beach isn’t safe for our 8yr old. Trash and broken glass are everywhere.-Dock is broken and can’t be used for boats.We realized they didn’t have a washer/dryer listed in the property description, but when at the beach/lake, there are to many towels, swimsuits etc, not to have a laundry, so we asked. We would have canceled if there wasn’t a washer/dryer (we inquired before the 100% refund cancellation date).Bugs and cobwebs in every corner, window and door of the house. We spent an hr cleaning when we arrived and there is still more. Dead bugs everywhereTorn, plastic mattress covers on unsupportive mattress. Here is at the broken ceiling lamp. It fell down at night and the wiring is disconnected.

Broken arcade ’skiball’ game, also the scoring and electronics don’t work.

Our stay was overshadowed with multiple issues regarding the functionality of the house and the lack of action to address ongoing issues by the host. Upon arrival to the Lake house it was immediately clear that the WiFi signal was very weak and our youngest child’s tablet struggled to connect at all. This was told to the host leas than 24 hrs of arrival and was completely unresolved for the duration of our 7 day stay. There was “communication” from the “host” but was in nature apologetic lip service to appease us with zero solution at every turn. We (on our own) discovered that this property is running off their other larger VRBO property next door. This property runs on a booster for the WiFi. The lower game room space was totally unusable as a place to set up a movie for the kids as the TV never connected to the WiFi for a family movie or to stream music. The pots and pans had deep scratches to the point we bought a pan for us to use for our stay. It is advertised to accommodate 10 people. There were 5 forks in the kitchen drawer and minimal towels for our family of 6 and no separate towels for “beach” use. There was not one space for all 6 of us to sit together except the outdoor picnic table. The pool table fell apart and broke in half at the middle, unsupported by the hardware meant to secure it. Luckily, no one was injured. The handle from the door leading out from the game room fell off in my hand when trying to exit. Its falsely advertised as a home to accommodate 10.

Inacceptable

Outside littered with trash, greasy, filthy bbq, running water rotten egg smell and taste, rickety old doors that do not close, small beds with maîtresses plastic covers.Overpriced, inadéquate, deceiving.

Beautiful location paper thin walls

The check in process was easy and efficient. Bbq needed fixing, not the thing you want to be doing while relaxing. Communicate from tenant “crickets”. Location was a 5 star, very much country. Now I know how the Waltons were able to say good night from each room in the house. You can hear everything no matter the room you’re in. Small rooms thumb latch on the bedroom doors, zero privacy. Must be to help with air circulation. Sulfur smell from the water we were told about upfront so you will need to keep the windows open. They do have water treatment systems for that they should look into it. Little fire pit next to the dock on the lake is great, and pay no attention to mister deeds cutting the lawn. Just be alert for projectiles and keep safety glasses in hand. The kitchen nook is great for sitting around for breakfast.. plenty of space throughout the house. Coffee on the porch in am. The bull frogs help sing along to noises created during sleep. The fix the doors to actual close and knobs to operate would make a difference on privacy. Add water filter and treatment would help eliminate the sulfur smell and save on the AC use. Spray insulation in the walls. Get some piles that aren’t flat, my pillow is always having a sale. I use humor to soften the blow but it’s not funny when you’re paying the money. You definitely get that lake cabin experience. I was asked not to post on the review because it has a negative impact on the renting. Maybe a disclaimer would help or fixes?

Like a dream

We were in town for Husson University’s friends and family weekend. This was a perfect place to be! We easily drove to Husson yet had the peaceful view of the lake to relax with during down times. We played a lot of ping pong and Pac-man. I cannot wait to rent this house again! It was fantastic!!

Beautiful property, great location, amazing views of the lake!

The property worked perfect for our needs. Owners were upfront and clear in communication. When a few things came up they responded promptly. The location and views are amazing. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for great common and outdoor space for a family vacation or a small team retreat.

OMG!!!

I brought my 5 grandkids(age 2-12) snd their parents for 10 total. The location is awesome, the house is amazing, right on the lake with paddle boards, canoes a game room, you wont regret renting this place!! My ONLY hesitation in posting this, is the place will get so popular I won't be able to get it again!
