We did walk the "direct beach access" path to discover it takes you over to another street, then you walk down about a block to get to the beach access. It was fairly close but the word direct was misleading. The use of the kitchen and laundry was a plus. The pool wasn't open for the season but it looked clean and had a nice sitting area around it. « This was a small oasis in the busy world. The description was accurate but didn't indicate how truly relaxing and pleasant the property is. It is away from the hustle and bustle of the main thoroughfares but with easy and close-by access to the by-pass and all its offerings. We spent many hours sitting in the covered patio area, which was full of beautiful tropical plants in containers (the host has a wonderful green thumb!) and pleasant breezes. We would happily stay there again. »

"Emplacement parfait face au dunes et un accès directe vers la plage. Plusieurs options possibles pour dîner à proximité et faire des courses tout en étant à une heure et demie vers le sud en direction du phare Hatteras. Check in et out très rapide. Chambre spacieuse et propre avec un réfrigérateur et un micro-ondes. L’architecture du bâtiment est un peu ancienne mais ça reste un très bon choix."
