« We booked this place only for a couple of nights as we needed somewhere to stay whilst i attended a local hospital. The property itself is nicely renovated, keeping old features of the barn with modern heating and bathroom etc which was lovely. Checkin was easy and the owners were nearby if needed but not intrusive. Nice big sofa and clean everywhere, nice bath and underfloor heating. The surrounding area is lovely, and I imagine if we attended during a time where the whole country wasnt...

« Good facilities and a wood burner makes this a very cosy spot for a winter stay. Well located for the bus into Oxford and other walking routes to some nice local pubs. Nice to have friendly peacocks and peahens roaming the garden but they did make quite a mess on our car. It would have been useful to have known about this before the stay so that we could have brought suitable cleaning products. »

« For larger families, this place is ideal. You are out in lovely company, able to see the sheep in the fields as you awaken each day (but no smells!). The cottage is beautifully appointed with a great big kitchen for entertaining. You really feel like its yours very quickly, and you do not want to leave! Only caution is that it is a bit tricky to get to if you are not used to very narrow roads. »

« Very nice cottage in quiet village. Evie is a great host and came right over to fix the TV and bring us a few items that the cleaner had missed. The cottage is very comfortable and has a lovely back garden. It was chilly while we were there so we liked being able to sit in the glassed in area of the kitchen. « The row house is well located within steps of paths that take you to downtown or along the river and canal into the countryside. The trains running a few meters from the backyard make the back bedroom unsuitable for sleeping, but you do get accustomed to the noise. The house has nice bright and large rooms but is in need of a deep clean, including rugs, upholstery and woodwork. The kitchen lacks basics. We had to buy a frying pan and spatula. Furniture and appliances are broken, however when I...
