  • We took a 5 day rafting trip down the San Juan. Our second camp site at Hanaker had an amazing hike up the canyon wall to a look out over the river and canyon. Very hot hike, but the views were amazing. If I did this one again, I would probably go in the morning. The raft trip itself is pretty easy, only one Class III rapid. Perfection!

A gorgeous house in an absolutely breathtaking location! We were provided baby gates and a highchair awaiting our arrival which made traveling with littles so easy. The large property is beautiful and made morning hikes super convenient. Only a short 25 minute drive to town which was also beautiful and had plenty to do and see! Would highly recommend a stay here.

Amazingly Blown Away

If staying within 50 miles of Pagosa Springs, this is the place to stay! You may not even want to leave the location. Plenty of space throughout the house to sit and relax and the huge porch wraps around half the house and could sit there all day and night with the cool breeze rolling off the mountains. Easy drive into Pagosa for hot springs and if you want to take in the town and tourist spots. For sure sit out by the fire pit and wait for the moon to set so you can see the stars, you will be amazed. Great home, location, and host.

7 of us stayed at this property ranging in age from 9-76. We had plenty of space and great views. We explored the land, played games, relaxed, recharged, and hit the hotsprings. It’s a beautiful place. Thank you!

Winter Vacay

We enjoyed our time at this beautiful house so much! We had some trouble with the snow and they were so responsive with helping us out and taking care of us. We were pleased with the home and made so many memories between grandparents and grandkids as well as our family. The home was clean and well kept, had everything and more that we needed. It was beautiful and the best view of the mountains in the background. Thankful we found this place and to be blessed to share so many memories there!

They cancelled on us!

They cancelled on us a month before our arrival! This place went from hosting 12 people to 8! We booked almost a year in advance! Not a big deal, other than y’all won’t refund us the $500 in fees that we paid! I could understand if we cancelled on you but that was NOT the case! I want my $500!

Beautiful and spacious home

We rented this home for our family to stay in since it was close the the wedding venue our son was getting married at. We chose this home because of the large kitchen with "state of the art appliances and technology" since we would be preparing all of the food for the wedding, only to find out that the refrigerator and freezer was not in working order! I sent a message to the host asking if there was a trick to getting the refrigerator/freezer to work, it would not freeze so there was no ice and did not keep our food cold. She responded and explained that they had brought a refrigerator/freezer for us to use the day before we got there and put it in the garage as the repairman could not fix it for two weeks. We went in the garage to find a dorm size refrigerator with the freezer full of someone else's food. It would have been extremely helpful to have been informed that we would not have a working refrigerator/freezer during our stay since this is something they knew about prior to our arrival. We had to go purchase ice and put it in baggies and use the refrigerator as a big cooler with ice packs to save as much of the food as possible. They did offer us a 10% discount for the inconvenience which helped to cover the cost of some of the food we lost. We read over the binder of rules when we arrived and I emailed the host about the chipped wood on the stairs, broken shades, broken window, etc that were there upon our arrival. We were very transparent about who would be staying, our circumstances during our stay and questions we had. It wasn't until the following day that we realized the refrigerator was broken, I felt it should have been communicated to us right away when I text her about the other things that were already broken, including the front gate which was very hard to open and close manually. When we were leaving, there was a man in a truck sitting in the driveway watching us and didn't say anything so we were in a big hurry to get out and by doing so, we left our sons blankets behind. Once I arrived home I text the host and she was very helpful in allowing us to go back to get them that evening, that was very much appreciated! The home is beautiful, the location is great but communication and honestly would make all the difference!

Our annual snowboarding trip.

Our van got stuck the first day of checking in and couldn’t make it up the driveway bc of the ice. When I called the owner she said we suppose to have chain on our tires like most cars which was not mentioned in the email. I asked if there was salt that was provided since it was in the welcome booklet, she said most owner doesn’t use it because it ruined their driveway and we should go get cat litter. Other than that the house was beautiful and very cozy for our family. They even provided us with sled boards and you can use ride it down the hills in the backyard.

Over all a great home! Plenty of room. A little far out if weather comes.

Wine bottle opener broke when using it to open a bottle of wine The breaker tripped in the master bedroom A marked drive way would be helpful when unable to view due to weather/snow Freezer to refrigerator not working properly. Ice cream melted while in freezer- iTrip was very understanding and accommodating with this. Recommend one more trash can in garage to put trash in. Overall a wonderful house that we thoroughly enjoyed as a family!
