We didn't know much about PGH before our visit. But the Mt. Washington neighborhood turned out to be good home base for our explorations. And this property proved to be a very comfy abode.
The two-story apartment has been recently renovated, and all rooms, walls and fixtures are in good shape. Nothing overly fancy here, but quite cozy. Two bedrooms on the main floor (which is up one flight of stairs from the entryway), and one on the top floor. The top-most room got a bit warm on an 80+-degree day, and the small window AC until helped cool that space (the central AC was sufficient for the rest of the unit). The living room side of the kitchen/living room space was a little small, but that was fine for us, as we were always on the go.
The parking lot in the back (with assigned spaces) was quite nice. There appeared to be other guests in the first floor apartment when we were there, but we didn't hear them once. Property was very quiet. The street was nearly all residential, but two great restaurants (JJ's and Coughlin's Law) were about a 10-12-minute walk away.
The location up high on Mt. Washington meant traversing twisty streets to get down to river level to cross the Monongahela bridges. We loved it! The drive to downtown took about 7-8 minutes, if that.
All told, this was a comfy, convenient and affordable place to call home for three nights. Thanks for having us, and we'll be back.
