Loved our time in Casa Edda! The house was spacious, homey, just as pictured. Host met us promptly and even allowed us in a couple hours early, which was a blessing because it was pouring rain when we arrived. Full kitchen which we made use of. The view is absolutely unreal. It's also a very short 1/2 staircase walk to the main road which made access to shops and restaurants. About a 10 minute walk down the steps to the beach. We traveled to Positano with a 1.5 year old which may not be advised in general, but she loved the large outdoor balcony and the host provided a baby crib as well as made sure there were some toys and beach buckets etc for her to play with. While she was sleeping we were able to enjoy the gorgeous city views. Would 100% stay here again!

The view was absolutely gorgeous!! It overlooks the main square, the coastline, and the most prominent church (a landmark of the area). We even got to see a wedding! Our manager met with us and went over all the amenities. He was courteous and friendly. The place was thoughtfully arranged. Super pleased to have a washer! We would return without hesitation and recommend to others!

A wonderful apartment with the perfect view of Positano.

My friend and I stayed in this beautiful apartment for four nights and had an absolutely incredible time! Our host Angela was fabulous! In addition to being a great communicator, she also helped us book porter service for our bags, provided advice about how to get to town, gave us restaurant, transportation and activity recommendations, and booked a car service for us for our return to Naples. The apartment was truly wonderful and the location was perfect! The view was stunning and one evening we ordered takeout pizza from the place right up the stairs and sat on the deck to enjoy it. Thank you for making our stay so enjoyable, Angela! we sincerely appreciate all you did for us and I hope to stay again soon! Darcy

Comfortable and Cozy in a Beautiful Setting

The location, location, location was fantastic. Everything we wanted to get to was close - note - there are lots of stairs to get everywhere in Positano - if that's going to be a problem you should know that up front. Angela, our hostess, was charming, patient and incredibly responsive to a lot of questions. We loved it!

The best!

I don’t have other places in Positano to compare this to, as it was my first visit, but I can confidently say this is one of the best locations to stay. In Positano, location is everything, and this spot couldn’t be better. It offers stunning views and was spacious enough for my family of four, including our 20-month-old and 5-year-old. Surprisingly, it’s also very stroller-friendly. After a few steps to reach the main road, you can turn right and easily take the stroller all the way down to the beach, shops, and restaurants. If you prefer to take the stairs, they’re not too bad either. The hostess was fantastic and communicated with us very well. Highly recommend!

Simply Amazing

I cannot express how happy we were with our stay. We had a driver bring us to Positano and he and Angela (property manager) were on the phone coordinating the check-in before we arrived. Angela was wonderful throughout the whole process and very helpful/informative. The property was clean - and air conditioned! The steps in front of the property led right down to the beach, and it was super close to nice restaurants. If we are ever back in Positano, we will definitely stay here.

This property is located in a wonderful area. Beautiful views! Access to the beach and shopping in positano. Great base for visiting the amalfi coast! Easy boat access to Capri , amalfi and other areas.

An absolute gem and the best view in Positano

We loved our stay at Casa Edde. Angela greeted us and got us settled in quickly. The place was a perfect location with a view that is better than any other in the city...because of prohibitions on building, there will never be anything in your view. It sits about 1/4 of the way up from the beach, with a view overlooking the old church and the sea and East facility to watch a wonderful sunrise. We would highly recommend it to travelers.

Memorable Stay

We really enjoyed our stay in Positano. Place was in a great location and had all the amenities needed. Angela, the property manager did an excellent job explaining how to operate the heat, washing machine and the explained the limited hot water capacity for showering. All great things to know when coming from out of the country. She also provided great restaurants that were Great. We would definitely recommend this property for an enjoyable stay in Positano.

You’re really staying here for the location. Cleanliness was subpar.

Staying at Casa Edda was great. The best part about it is that you’re located about 20 steps below the main road, and a few hundred from the beach. Walking to destinations is simple and relatively quick in the grand scheme of Positano. The place really suffered with cleanliness. It seems like the photos really over glamorize the space. The decor and setup are what you would expect from Positano and of course are not a complaint for me, but the cleanliness made it a little bit uncomfortable for my partner and I to stay in. The floors had a layer of dirt/film on them that you could see as soon as the natural light peaked in. It was most evident in the bedroom and made us feel the need to constantly wear shoes. The bathroom was truly the hardest part. There was a really potent mold/urine smell the entire time. The shower was caked with grime on the tiles and floor. The caulking was primarily black as well. The shower doors were also covered in grime. The water pressure was decent but as soon as you looked up you could see the shower heads were covered in grime, and the ceiling was covered in black spots which I could only assume are from mosquitos and flies, being that we would shower and constantly be killing them as well. The toilet seat was also loose and would slide off anytime you sat down. It’s also important to note that we were not given any soap for your hair or body, and were left with a single role of toilet paper. Everything else needed to be purchased by us

The best thing about Casa Edda is its location

The best thing about Casa Edda is its location - both for convenience and the view. Casa Edda is a short, easy walk to the beach and all the best shops, restaurants, bakeries, pharmacies, etc. Waking up to the view of Positano every day was a dream, and the home includes everything you need from a full kitchen to a washing machine. Summer In Italy is a great option for variety and alternative to extremely pricey, much smaller hotel rooms. I travelled with a 2 month old and would not have enjoyed my trip without the extra amenities that Summer In Italy provided (multiple rooms, full kitchen, etc.). Will certainly use again in the future.

Casa Edda was an incredible property. The view from all rooms and balcony was absolutely spectacular. The beds were very comfortable and the location perfect. We loved our stay at Casa Edda. Check in was seamless and Rosella [the caretaker] was friendly and helpful. Luca has been so wonderfully helpful to us. We had Covid interrupt our travel plans in 2020 and again in 2021 and Luca gave us a credit voucher and then assisted us with organising our property in Positano. He went above and beyond and I will be recommending Summer In Italy to all our friends in Australia.

This was our second stay at Casa Edda and it is the absolute best apartment in town. Stunning views, close to all the best restaurants and has an awesome convenience store (Latteria Mini market) around the corner which has everything from toiletries, deli and prepared food. Ms. Rossella [the caretaker] was an unbelievable help to us. The airline lost our luggage and she helped deal with the courier. Will definitely stay again!

This is our second trip to Positano and we knew what area we wanted to stay in as we consider the view of the village optimal from the right hand side. We were so lucky to find Casa Edda, which is as good as it gets in Positano without breaking the bank. The balcony is huge, the rooms great and kitchen well equipped. There are hundreds of steps down to the beach, but that was great as we wanted to have the view. Our host was perfect and check-in and check-out were without any hassle. This is the perfect place and we will stay here from now on! Luca (Summer In Italy company) was incredibly helpful in making the booking, highly recommended! Fantastic. Luca is the best!

This was ideal

This was ideal. Mid level on mountain, so not too low nor too high, so those famous Positano steps are manageable. There are even several cafes and bars 5 minutes away as well as a small grocery. Was traveling with an elderly person and it was manageable even for them. The two bedroom set up with the day bed fold out couch was terrific... And of course the view is a dream! The host is very kind and always smiling when I might see her wondering about the town.

We loved Casa Edda. It has traditional features which make the house even more charming. The location is very central - close to the main street, the church and the centre of Positano! What a great location

What a great location!! Amazing view of Positano. Not too far up from the beach but away from the crowds. We found that the mattress and pillows in the bedroom are not super comfortable. Rosella [the caretaker] was amazing and took great care in meeting us and in dealing with a small problem we had. We will definitely return. Excellent communication from Summer In Italy.
