This stay was a mix of great comfort and frustrating logistics.
The unit itself is beautiful, spacious, and very comfortable. The beds were excellent, and the space felt much larger than a typical hotel room, offering good value compared to nearby resorts. Once everything was sorted out, it was a pleasant place to stay, and the late checkout was appreciated given the check-in issues.
The arrival experience was stressful. I did not receive the full address and building details until shortly before check-in, which was difficult while traveling internationally with limited email access. I spent over an hour making calls, texts, and emails to locate the property, with intermittent responses. When I finally accessed the unit, the electricity was not on and took about two and a half hours to restore, which was uncomfortable given the heat and no way to charge my phone.
There was old, moldy food left in the microwave, and the unit felt musty, like it hadn’t been used recently. The living room TV worked, but the bedroom TV had no signal, and I was not provided Wi-Fi information. After booking through Hotels.com, I was also asked to pay additional fees separately, including electricity and a security deposit. While legitimate, this should have been handled upfront. With fees, the total cost was similar to an all-inclusive resort.
This could be a great stay with better communication and clearer pricing, but the issues bring it to three stars.
